The Trustees are aware of the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit in "The Advancement of Religion for the Public Benefit" and has regard to it in the administration of the Church. 

No Trustee receives remuneration, reward or other private benefit for carrying out their Trustee responsibility. 

## **Worship Services** 

The Church holds worship services online via Zoom and in person at rented premises located at Enterprise House, Salter Street, Preston. This includes a Sunday service at 11.00am and Sunday School for younger attendees with free refreshments available for all. 

These services provide a time for fellowship and an opportunity to advance Christian beliefs with the public.  As an inclusive Church, holding free social events have enabled us to educate and advance our religious beliefs by engaging with the wider local community. A daily prayer devotional is also held online via the platform of the DeleTalks Media Network. 

In addition to worship services, the Church also holds a wide range of activities to advance our religious beliefs.  Activities are open to all and allow us to share our religious beliefs within the local community. They include:

## **Weekly Prayer & Bible Study Meetings** 

Prayer and Bible Study meetings provide a fellowship group for individuals seeking to enhance their religious education.  Targeted group sessions provide an opportunity for attendees to openly ask questions, develop their Christian knowledge in a safe space and engage with others in a positive environment. 

## **Youth Activities** 

In addition to the religious context of our work with the youth ministry, the Church also holds activities for younger members and visitors.  These include quizzes, days trips, games/movie nights and sports activities. This enables young people to engage with others within the community and develop friendships. 

## **Family Activities** 

The church hosts free leisure activities for families within the local community as part of its activities programme.  Activities are held throughout the year and include a Summer Fun Day and a music concert in December. They provide social interaction and inclusion within the community. 

## **Community Choir** 

The Church holds community choir sessions at Farringdon Park Community Centre. This engagement allows attendees to develop friendships with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds which broadens their social network and helps improve social cohesion. 

## **English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)** 

ESOL sessions are held at the Church on Saturdays. The sessions help attendees to improve their use and understanding of the English language and provide a social space to meet new people while developing skills to assist with employment and education.

## **Outreach** 

We visit older people at Preston Care Home in Fulwood to provide religious guidance and companionship.  The Church also engages in a range of activities to alleviate poverty – we support the homeless via the distribution of food and sleeping bags and assist families in need by delivering food parcels from a local foodbank.

Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

The Kingdom Life International Church Preston first began as a small gathering of faithful Christians who were meeting weekly online to pray and study God’s Word together. As the meetings began to flourish and grow, we felt that it was time to go public and commence congregational Sunday worship services. This is our first year as a charity and we have seen weekly attendance and membership steadily grow due to interest from local people. We acquired a small space on the first floor of a building located on North Road, Preston but as the numbers began to increase, there was a need to move into a bigger space.  The Church was able to secure larger premises at Enterprise House, Salter Street, Preston in January 2023. This has been a major achievement for the Church and allows us to accommodate an ever-increasing number of members and attendees. There has been a gradual increase in donations, tithes and offerings throughout the year. 

Having a range of religious activities has enabled us to share our religious practice with members and non-members within the local community.  Attendees of our events  have stated that the friendly environment allows them to develop their understanding of religion and the spiritual benefit that can be achieved through religious belief. 

Community choir sessions have been well attended and provide an opportunity for attendees to learn and/or improve their singing skills alongside others in the local community. All aspects of Church life aim to promote opportunities to put faith into action by service to the Church and the local community.
