OBJECTIVES Af4D ACTIvrriES
Objectives and aims
The Helleni¢ Initiative (UK) is a global, nonprofit, secular institution mobilizing the Greek Diaspora and
Philhellene community to support sustainable economic recovery and renewal for Greece and its p¢ople. Our
progr8rns address crisis relief through strong nonprofit organizaiions, led by heroic Greeks that are se￿Ing
their counlry. They also build capacity in a new generation of heroes, the business leaders and entrepreneurs
with the skills and values to promote the long terni growth of Hellas.
The Hellenic Initiative 15 a global nonprofit organization that brings together Diaspora Greeks and Philhellenes
to invest in the fvtwe of Gr¢ece through programs focused on crisis relief. entr¢preneurship, and economic
development.

FINANCtAL REVIEW
Fillaneial position
The charity hosted a succe&gful Gala in London on 3rd O¢tober 2024. with all funds raised ¢amiarked for
future projects through our associate ¢harity in the USA. The event expenses were initially covered by thc
&ssoGiate charity and subsequently reitnbursed on 27th Decemb¢r 2024. The charity is actively preP￿ing for
its 9th Annual Gala in October 2025, aiming to build on the remarkable success of previous events.
Goillg eoncern
At the time of approving the financial ststements, the trustees have a re&sonable expectation that the charity
adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees
continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financia] statements.

Governing document
The charity is controlled by its goveming document. a deed of trust and ¢onstitutes an unincorporated charity.

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of fhe accounts of The Hellenic Initiative (UK) Ltd (the
TTUSt) for the Ye￿ ended 21 Decemb¢r 2024.
Responsibilities aDd basis of report
As the charity t￿te¢S of the Trust you gte responsible for the preparation of the a¢counts in accordan¢¢ with
the requirements of th¢ Chariti¢s Act 2011 {Ihe Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the Tnjst's accounts carried out under Section 145 of the Act and in
carrying out my examination I have fullowed all applicable Dir¢ctions given by th¢ Charity Commission under
Section l45(5)(b) of the Act.
IDdepelldent eiaminer's statement
Since your charity's gross income exceeded £250.000 your examiner musl be a member of a listed body. I can
confirm that l am qualified to undertake the examination beCa￿e l am a member of the Association of
Chartered Certified A¢countants. which is one of the listed bodies.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no materia] matters have come to my attention in connection
with the examination giving me cause to believe that in 9￿Y material respect..
accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by Section 130 of the Aet- or
the accounts do not accord with those records. or
Ihe accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements con¢erning the form 8nd content of
accounts set out ITh the Charities (Ac¢owits and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement
that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent
examination.
I have no concerns and have come &cross no other matters in connection with the examination to which

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of prepgring tbe financial ststements
The financial statements of the Ch￿lty. which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been
prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102} 'A¢counting and Reporting by Charities:
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to ch￿1t7¢S preparing their accounts in accordance with
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (eff¢ctive I
January 2019)., Finatiknial Reporting Standard 102 'Thc Fink￿¢18[ Reporting Stsndard applicable in the
UK and Republic of Irel&nd' and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared
under the historical cost convention.

All income is re¢ognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlernent to the
funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliibly.

Liabilities are recognised 18 expenditure as soon ￿ there is a lega] or constructive obligatioll committing
the charity to that expendilx]re, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in
settlement and the amouni of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on
