AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Arelerra is a CIO I Charrtable Incorporated Organtsat￿n I wh￿h has been set up for the public
benefit lo relieve the needs of those aged between 21- 65 who have learning disability and l or
asscriated mental health condth'on iegdiro in KK1deminsler and the surrounding a￿as.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Arelerra's main achievements durrng the year are listed telow. All of which have involved
supporthng individuals wth leaming disabilities to overcome the feeling of isolation
A Suc￿$￿1 of £ 10.000 from the Na￿nal Lottery Communty Fund malerialised
during Ihe year. The funds were ￿trIcted for the cOnstruct￿n of a new aviary and for the
help with staff wage$
Designed and conslrucled a lar9e aviary lo accomm(￿ale a bfeeding pair of Blue & Gold
Macaws. This enable5 member5 to leam atrM)Ut breeding and conservabon of the
Macaws.
We also useé part of the funding lo create a fl￿h1 area for the m￿awS at the entrance to
the site whereby r￿eM￿e￿ can srt on a bench to watch the birds.
A new area was created to house a snothei tsble l was donated to Areterra I
and for playing darts and doing craft V*r)rk.
A large guinea pig enclosure was COnstrL￿ to fill with additKJnal guinea pigs lo help with
our therapeube animal sessions.

REVIEW OF THE YEAR
The results lor the year and the charity's financkql wglion at the end of the year are included In
the attached accounts
11 had income of £ 55,993 and expenditure of £ 53,316. There was an operalhJnal net ineome

RESERVES POLICY
The charity has been reinvesting all surplus incc¥ne in ordef it to continue developing the sile.
The Iruslees consider the level of reserves, £1751 1. are pfudent for the charity at this time tsking
into account potential liabil￿e$ in the event th* the chanty cease lo operate. Our ReseThes Policy
is reviewed annual￿.
FUTURE PLANS
The charity Is operating In a very drfficult and uncertain financial times. however. the Inislees a
confident of the projects bngevity. We are frKusing on assimilating leaming into new strale9iC
development for the organisalion as we start working on oui next long tem strategic plan The
k)ng lem fundraising remains a key prk)nty for us.
Focus remains on establishing and Increasing our staff team. tsking in consideration the skill and
increased wellking requirements imposed by the condilions and the financhal realities within
which we operate.
We are in the process of negotsts.on to buy a 4 aue plot to develop as a large Sca￿ project
FLtrthermore. we conkn'nue to strive to better ￿MUnICate our work and &hievemenl with our
suptx)rter and the wder communty.

Areterra CIO was registered with the Charty Commission on 19 Odoter 2021
11 is governed by ils consbtution and is managed by a Board of Trustees. Apart ftom the first
ehanty Iruslees, every trustee Is apwinled for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a
property convened meeb'ng of Board.
In selecting IndNiduals for ap[￿HnIment as the charity's trustees. the Board will have regard lo the
skills. knowledge and experEnce ￿led for the effective administration of the chanty.
RISK MANAGEMENT
The Board of Trustees has conducted Ils own ￿¥*W of the major risks lo which the charity Is
exposed and systems has been established to mitigate those risks Internal nsks are minimised
by the implementation ol procedures for authorisatson of all Iransacbons and projects and for
