Summary of the main Hope Deaf Africans (UK) achievements of the charity Charity Commission Summary – Financial Year 2025 during the year Hope Deaf Africans (UK) works to advance education and improve opportunities for Deaf children and Deaf communities across Africa. In 2025, the charity focused on strengthening governance, developing trustee skills, and improving its capacity to deliver future projects. Throughout the year, trustees participated in training sessions on fundraising, donor engagement, and the importance of educational access for Deaf children who face significant barriers. We also welcomed new trustees as others stepped down for personal reasons, ensuring continuity and strong leadership. Our main fundraising activity in 2025 was a 16-mile sponsored walk , which successfully raised funds and increased public awareness of the challenges faced by Deaf individuals in Africa. We continued to encourage individual giving and community support throughout the year. The charity used 2025 to consolidate its work, strengthen internal processes, and plan new education-focused projects for 2026. All activities carried out during the year were directed toward our charitable purpose of supporting Deaf children and promoting inclusive education in Africa. Submitted by: Jeremy Yankey Chair
