Introduction: This report covers the period 02/09/2024 – 01/09/2025
During this period the charity executed its first significant purchasing activity, buying a Stampfli high performance single scull to support students in their preparation for international and domestic competition. The charity also made a donation to Love Rowing, the British Rowing charity which aims to transform lives through rowing by funding accessible and inclusive programs for under-represented communities, including young people from low-income backgrounds and individuals with disabilities. A smaller contribution was also made to the SHSBC parent group, Blades, as part of their fundraising to purchase training equipment, now gratefully received by the Boat Club.
An attempt on the 100km world record was made by SHSBC Coach Dylan Mitchell: though he narrowing missed the required time to break the record he did raise via sponsorship a significant sum for the charity to further support rowing at SHS.

Report: The charity exists to promote the further advancement of education of Pupils at Surbiton High School by providing or assisting in the provision of rowing facilities, recruiting Trustees from appropriately qualified and experienced staff, parents, and former pupils.
The Charity intends to continue fundraising in the 2025/26 period, and planning is ongoing for further fundraising events.

Structure, governance and management
The Charity is a Foundation Charitable Incorporated Organisation. These are the initial accounts for the Charity to the year ended 1[st] September 2025.
Objectives and activities
The charity exists to promote the further advancement of education of Pupils at Surbiton High School by providing or assisting in the provision of rowing facilities, recruiting Trustees from appropriately qualified and experienced staff, parents, and former pupils.
Financial review
The Charity purchased a high-performance sculling boat, to assist students with preparation for international selection and other competitions. This is the first significant purchase of the charity. The Charity also made a donation to Love Rowing https://loverowing.org/ a British Rowing charity that aims to transform lives through the sport, bringing new diverse communities to rowing. Lastly the charity made a contribution to support Blades, the Surbiton High Boat Club parents’ group, in their fundraising efforts to purchase training equipment (Rowing Machines and Bike Ergometers), now gratefully received by the Boat Club.
During the year, SHS Rowing Coach Dylan Mitchell made an attempt on the 100km ergo world record, narrowly missing a new world record time, but raising £2,408.65 for the charity.

There were no related party transactions in the reporting period. The Charity has never generated any trading profits or other income that creates a Corporation Tax liability. All income was used for Charitable purposes.
