LBBD has granted ELSOM full access to Dagenham Heathway Library site on Sundays - Free of charge. ELSOM Youth Orchestra (supported by the HPO), performed a mini-concert in collaboration with Hackney Council - to celebrate Her Late Majesty The Queen's 70th Jubilee. The students composed an original piece, sent a copy to Buckingham Palace and received a very encouraging response from The Queen. The original piece was performed at the concert. 24th December 2022 (Christmas Eve), the documentary "Organ Stops - Saving The King Of Instruments" was aired on BBC4. The hour-long film follows the tireless efforts of a small band of pipe organ enthusiasts to save these magnificent instruments as churches and venues across Britain close. One of the success stories involves a pipe organ in Ireland that was saved and transported to the East London School of Music. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplay er/episode/m001gmv3/organstops-saving-the-king-ofinstruments Exams: Music Theory and Practical exams taken in February, April, June and November 2022 - 100% Pass Rate.
