**in this period as a result of the Manager,**
**Tom Elliott being Director of Music at a**
**Prep School in Kent. A successful series**
**of 4 concerts was run during the period**
**from November to April. Over 300 people**
**benefitted from the concerts as audience**
**members.**
**In addition to the concerts, the other**
**main branch of the charity’s activites, the**
**string school for young people every**
**Monday night in Benenden continued and**
**had a good year. The group finished the**
**period with 14 members, from age 9-13**
**and undertook two concerts and an**
**appearance at the Benenden Village Fete**
**in June.**
**It is the aim of the Trustees to encourage**
**more children from state schools, who**
**have limited access to musical**
**experiences to join. At the time of writing,**
**the group has 23% non-independent**
**school representation.**|
