**just before the third public concert given**
**under the name of Bridgepoint Music.**
**Public concerts in June and July**
**2021were followed by the Mendelssohn**
**Octet in October 2021, Tchaikovsky’s**
**Souvenir de Florence in March 2022 and**
**a violin and piano recital in April 2022**
**with the world-renowned violinist, Chloe**
**Hanslip appearing. The concerts were**
**enthusiastically received and a definite**
**upward trend in audience numbers was**
**recorded. These concerts have provided**
**employment for the twenty-six musicians**
**who appeared and have brought**
**significant joy to the audience.**
**In November 2021 the charity launched**
**its Saturday Music School, under the**
**name, Bridgepoint String Orchestra. The**
**group is run by Tom Elliott and by the**
**end of the report period had 10 members**
**between the ages of 6 and 16. They gave**
**a Christmas concert in December 2021.**
**Numbers have since grown and the**
**benefits to the children and the**
**audiences who hear the group play are**
**manifold and clear.**|
