The Trustees present th8ir report and accounts for th8 year endgj 31 October 2023.
Governanca and Management
The Scheme - The Cunningham Famity FoundatM)n was established by a Constitution dated 18
August 2021 as amended 18 September 2021. The charity was registered as a Charrtable
Incorporated Organisation with the Charty Commission, registered number 1196113 on 11 October
2021.
Trustees - The Charity is admlnistered by Trustees and their PQVRTS are determined by the
Constitution dated 18 September 2021. The trustees who are also the members and served th8
charity during the period are detailed on Page 1.
New truste8$ are appointed by the current trustees from people over 16 who have shown a keen
Interest in the work of the charty and have abih'tr'es required on the govemlng body.
The board shall ¢onsist of at least three truste8s and at18ast one of the trustees rnust b8 18 years of
age or over. When they are inducted the trustees are presented with a current copy of the constitLrtion
and latest annual report and financial statements.
Rlsk Management- The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the Charity is exposed, In
particular those related to the management of its investments and finances, and arè Satisf￿ that the
systems in place sufficiently manage rts exposure to those risks.
Trustees, responslbllttles - The Trustees are required to prepare financlal statements for each
finanrjal period which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Charty and of its income
and expendrture for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the Trust88s are required to..

The trustees are responsible for keeping accounts.ng records which disclose with reasonable accuracy
the financial posrtion of the charty and which enable them to ensure that the finanrial statements

Objectlves and Actlvltles
Objects- The general object of the Trustees is to advance such charitable purposes (accordlng to
the law of England and Wales) as the trustees see fft from time to kn'me and in particular, but not
limited to, the relief of those in néed, by reason of youth. age. I1￿health. disability, financial hardship or
other disadvarrtage in the United Kingdom and around the world.
The Trustees conssder that the objectNes arKI aCt￿litIeS of the Charity are in accordance with the
Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefrt.
Area of Benerrt- This is defined within the Trust Deed as being throughout England and Wales.
Grants may be made to individuals arKI organisations which are either registered Charities or
Voluntary Bodies.

Summary of Main Achievements and Events
The charity granted aid to a number of charities and slmilar organisations during the period. Thes8
grants are detailed wthin the financial statements. A brief explanation of why these organisations
have been supported are detailed below.
The Llttle Edl Foundatlon is an Essex based nwfit helping children in the UK. The Cunningham
Family Foundation provides funding for specific projects of that foundation and also pays the suppliers
directty. The charty is registered in England and Wales, charty numbèr 1169242.
The foUndat￿n considers the needs of the most wlnerable children and families. The trustees believe
all Children should have equal access to education and learning development. enabling them to reach
their full potentlal and bridge the gap b8tw*en chiklren living in povety arKI their Wea￿h1or friends. In
order to achiev8 this. they listen to the needs of our local vulnerable families and offer help where
necessary to get their children into school wrth whatever they need.
The Little Eid Foundation is based in Chelmsford. Essex and they seNé mostly the local community
surrounding Mdboume. The charty has sign8d a lease to a local building so that they are able to be
present in the heart of the project area arKI more available for their b8n8ficiary families. They are
planning to be able to run more projects from this hub for both the children and parents Including
cookery classes. debt counselling and kids dubs.
8t Claro Hospl¢e is a local charity, registered as a charity in England and Wales number 1063631
and also registered a$ a company limrted by guarantee, number 2951374. Each year they care for
hundreds of peop18 across the West Essex and the East Hertfordshire border. They provide free,
compassionate care and support to adults who are livlng with a lrffrlimrtlng Illness, facing the end of
life or experiencing bereavemenL
Sl Clare Hospice not onty SUPFK)rts those with a fIf￿limitIng illness. but also offers caring and support
for friends, faMil￿S and carers. induding young people and children. The charity offèrs bereavement
support for all those followlng a loved ones death from such illnesses.
Hospices aim to provide holistlc. personwcentred care for those who are living wtth an illness that can
not be cured. They care for people throughout tr￿lf entire joumey. right from the point of diagnosis,
supporting all aspects of an indiNidual's life and wellbeing.
The charity has buift on tha fim foundations of their last strategy, "St Clare Hospio 2022+ Strateg
which is an ambitious continuation of the key aims and vision. The new strategy looks to strengthen
the newly developed areas of listening and partnership. build upon the volunteer-led social support
programmes around death. dyirwJ, and loss and extend the reach of their professional education
programme.
Financlal Revlew
Unrestricted Funds currently amount to £90.492, vhwch is available for distribution to wortlNhile
causes when suitable applications are re￿Ned.
Grant making
A Grant Making policy has been adopted by the chanty which helps guide the Trustees to such
applications which meet the charitable requirements and offers the Trustees and Applicants guidance
for both grant giving and applications thereof.

Reserves
The Trustees aim, in pursuing their ObJ￿Is. is to dlstrTbute by way of grants the vhjle of the Charity's
incoming reSoUr￿S available for the purpose wrthin a reasonable time span after such resourGes are
recéived. The Trustees see no need to have a res8rve5 policy as such. Any balances avallable at a
point in time are du8 to the cut off and awathng confimiation of levels available.

The trustees have considered th8 Chanty Commission's guidance on public ben8frt and b8li8ve that
the obj8Cts of the trust arKI the aclivities undertaken support this public benefit.

Accountlng Policles
The financial statements have been prepared in accordan￿ with the exemptions applicable under
the Ststement of RecommerKJed Practice on Accounting by Charrties and the Charities Act 2011.
The statements of finanaal a¢tivtties has prepared on a receipts and payments basis.
Thè statement of Net Assets show8 the assets of the charrty and any amounts due to or owed by
the charity. The statement will not indude any provisions for Ilabilities and charges. The trustees
are of the opinion that should any signfficant matters occur prior to the year end, they will be
disclosed within the notes of the accounts.
Trustees Remuneratlon, Expon889 and Control
There have been no remuneration or expenses paid to any of the trustees during the current
period. Tha charity decisions are made by the tmstees as a body and are detailed on page 1 of
this report. No one trustee or group of trustees has a domlnant control.
