Love Burley was formed in December 2016 and provided 4 social events per year to older people in the village. During the pandemic, its focus changed to support those unable to get out for shopping, prescriptions etc. During that time Love Burley became a registered charity.
In the last two years the circumstances of the four trustees has changed dramatically with one trustee resigning. Continuing the work of Love Burley is not sustainable for them and attempts to secure additional support has been unsuccessful. With this in mind, the trustees have decided to resign on/before 31st December 2024.
Love Burley no longer support individuals in the village (no requests have been forthcoming) but have provided financial support to the Wellbeing Hub through donations, management of their finances and insurance cover through the Love Burley policy. If no new trustees come forward, this support for the Wellbeing Hub will need to be found elsewhere.
