## **2. Structure, Governance, and Management**

## **Governing Document**

The charity is controlled by its governing document (a Constitution) and constitutes a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

## **Trustee Selection and Organizational Structure**

- **Management & Oversight:** The Charity Chair and the Board of Trustees hold ultimate responsibility for the overall management, strategic direction, and financial control of the Corbeille Blanche Foundation. The Board meets formally **six times a year** (approximately every 60 days) to review operations.

- **Operational Teams:** Day-to-day project implementation is delegated to the **Outreach Team** (operating on the ground in the Democratic Republic of the Congo) and the **Finance Committee** (meeting monthly in the United Kingdom).

- **Role of the Chair:** The Chair coordinates work between the Trustees and the Outreach Team, oversees the preparation of legal paperwork, manages accounts, and leads future project planning.

- **Trustee Recruitment & Remuneration:** All Trustees serve entirely on a voluntary basis. They received **no remuneration, financial benefits, or out-of-pocket expense reimbursements** during the reporting period. No new Trustees were recruited or appointed during the past year.

## **3. Objectives and Activities**

Our charity's core activities focus on the advancement of health, social empowerment, and relief of poverty both in the UK and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

## **Our Vision**

To empower pregnant women, vulnerable young women in precarious rural situations, and orphans, providing them with a platform that encourages and equips them to become active creators of positive change in their communities.

## **Our Mission**

- **Empowerment & Vocational Training:** Helping women discover their inherent potential and guiding their personal and professional growth. We support them through health education, motherhood guidance, and hands-on vocational workshops in cooking, sewing, aesthetics, agriculture, and family planning.

2

- **Support in the D.R. Congo:** Partnering directly with local schools to provide disadvantaged girls with essential daily resources, fostering self-confidence, and paving the way for a brighter future. We also support local orphanages by supplying school equipment and educational resources.

- **Community Advocacy in the U.K.:** Organizing community gatherings for the Congolese diaspora and raising vital health awareness. We promote health literacy on high blood pressure, obesity, stroke prevention, child protection, and domestic abuse, while actively encouraging individuals to engage with professional healthcare and local support services.

## **4. Achievements and Performance**

During this reporting period, the Corbeille Blanche Foundation successfully delivered its planned micro-projects.

- **Community Outreach & Health Promotion:** We engaged with the public by attending local social events, community gatherings, and church meetings—primarily via invitations from partner groups.

- **Direct Advocacy:** Our volunteers held face-to-face conversations and distributed informative leaflets (printed and produced from home) highlighting critical health and social risks within the community.

- **Feedback and Evaluation:** We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from community members. This valuable input has helped us better understand local needs and is directly shaping the design of our upcoming charitable initiatives.

-

## **5. Financial Review**

## **Funding and Expenditure**

All activities undertaken during the past year were delivered without drawing upon charity funds. The Trustees and core volunteers funded 100% of the operational expenses **entirely out of their own pockets** , including personal travel, transport costs, and refreshments (water and snacks) for events.

- **Fundraising:** The charity did not engage in any public fundraising activities during this reporting period.

- **Reserves Policy:** Because the charity currently operates with zero overheads and direct out-of-pocket funding from its volunteers, there are no significant financial reserves held.

## **Custodian Trusteeship**

The Corbeille Blanche Foundation does not hold any funds or assets as a custodian trustee on behalf of others.
