We provide children and Young people up to the age of 18 who are suffering with hair loss due to Alopecia or other hair loss conditions by the provision of wigs and hair systems including fitting and maintenance.
The First year accounts are only for 4 months due to how the financial year starts and ends. In these few months we organised a charity ball to raise money for Little Lady Locks. The ball will be financed by the sale of tickets, auctions, sponsors also companies who donated prizes for raffles, on the night we sold merchandise with the charity name on them. The money that was raised on the night of the charity ball will go towards making the wigs and systems and buying supplies we need to create these and also the fitting and the maintenance that is needed every 3 months.
We have started the process of advertising for hair donations from the public, so the hair can be made into wigs. We will also accept hair extensions that people no longer use. In our next year we will be looking into making hats and headbands with hair attached. At the moment we only have one wig maker that is not charging us but as the charity grows we will have to pay wig makes which will be around £300. We will also try to recruit more volunteers and hope to get businesses within the hair industry on board with doing haircuts, collecting hair donations and also fundraising in their salons to promote the charity.
We are very excited for the future of the charity and are so passionate with the work we do in and around England and with hard work and determination we will take Little Lady Locks global.
