I report to the trustees on my examlnation of the accounts of the above
charity {'Ihe Trust.) for the year ended 31. August 2024
Responsibilities and
basis of report
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
l.the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Chaiily Commission
under section 14515}{b} of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examinalion. I confirm that no material matter$ have
examlner's statement come lo my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect..
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130
of the Charities Act.. or
the accounts did not accord with the 8CCOUnting records., or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities
(Accounts and Reports} Regulations 2008 other than any requirement
that the accounts give a 'true and fair, view which is not a matter
considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection
with the examination lo which allenlion should be drawn in this report in
order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Oblectives
The Charity's objective is tD advance the educatton of pupils at Burlington School by developbng
effective relationships between the staff, parent5 and others associated with the school and by
engaglng Sn activities or providing facilities or equipment whlch support the school.
Achlevements and performunce
Durlng the year the Frlends of Bijrlington School raised money by running even15 ft>r the puplls such
as dlscos, a christmas fair and a talent show. We also received a large donatlon from a local
business.
The Friends of Burllngton School have supported the school by contrbbuting towards the
refurbishment of a classroom, the refit of the playground a5 well a5 smaller outdoor projects and
re3dlng resour￿5.

The Charity received income of £52,054.12 this year12023 £59,378.16) £48975.50 of this was from
a restrlcted dDnafjon. ExpendSture totalled £25125.6512023- £36,942.34). Thi5 created a surplus of
£26,948.2712D23- £22,435,841 to be added to the reserves brought forward of £56,982.22. At the
year end unrestricted reserves totalled £8,033.38 and resirl¢ted reserves of £75877.31.
The reserve pollcy of the Charlty Is to hold sufficient funds to meet its day to day Ilablllties as they fall
due.
