This<br>year time has been focussed on ensuring<br>the new is CIO is sufficiently provided with<br>systems and policies to enable it to be fit for<br>its purpose.<br>We have engaged with our members and<br>other NGOs internationally to ensure that<br>children’s need to play is better understood<br>and provided for<br>The Board of directors meet monthly via<br>zoom.|

## **Achievements and Performance**

||Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|IPA has continued to promote children’s<br>right to play endeavouring to raise its<br>profile in the work of other agencies and<br>NGO’s.<br>During the past period IPA World Board<br>has advocated and promoted Article 31<br>and General Comment 17 across a range<br>of international events and conferences<br>maintaining a presence for IPA World both<br>through physical attendance and online.<br>We have continued to provide an on line<br>magazine.<br>2023 was a successful year for IPA World<br>with record membership and engagement<br>and we welcomed the formation of a new<br>branch in the Ukraine.<br>The highlight of our work in 2023  was the<br>22ndIPA World triennial conference held in<br>Glasgow, Scotland. 550 people attended<br>from 41 countries which attracted<br>international and local media coverage.  In<br>addition to the conference IPA World held<br>international awards attracting 28<br>nominations for innovation in delivery of<br>play and play spaces.<br>We continued to work with our global<br>membership providing access to 8  free<br>webinars throughout the year featuring<br>speakers from across the world<br>showcasing our mission  to protect,<br>preserve and promote the child’s right to<br>play.<br>In 2023 IPA World also commenced work<br>on creating greater engagement with<br>members through the creation of interest<br>groups in specific fields of adventure<br>playgrounds and another in planning and<br>design.  Our work in advocacy was<br>highlighted with the passing of a<br>unanimous motion at the World conference<br>to advocate for a UN World Day of Play.<br>IPA World in response has joined a global<br>coalition of NGO’s and corporations to<br>advocate for the day and this work will<br>continue into 2024.|
