technical
advice to government
and others;

promoting
public
support
for
the
UNCRC;

promoting respect for
human rights among
individuals

corporations.

To provide or assist in the
provision of facilities in the
interests of social welfare for
play, recreation or other leisure
time occupation of children
throughout the world who have
need of such facilities by
reason of their youth, disability,
financial hardship or social
circumstances with the object
of improving their conditions of
life.

IPA’s purpose is to protect, preserve and
promote the child’s right to play as a
fundamental human right.
IPA operates a membership scheme. This
year time has been focussed on ensuring
the new is CIO is sufficiently provided with
systems and policies to enable it to be fit for
its purpose.
We have engaged with our members and
other NGOs internationally to ensure that
children’s need to play is better understood
and provided for

activities each year. This review looks at
what we achieved and the outcomes of our
work in the previous 12 months. The review
looks at the success of each key activity
and the benefits they have brought to our
membership and children. The review also
helps us ensure our aim, objectives and
activities remained focused on our stated
purposes. We have referred to the guidance
contained in the Charity Commission’s
general guidance on public benefit when
reviewing our aim and objectives and in
planning our future activities. In particular,
the trustees consider how planned activities
will contribute to the aims and objectives
they have set.

has advocated and promoted Article 31

of international events and conferences

through physical attendance and online.
We have continued to provide online
