SORP reference<br>Summary of the purposes of  Para 1.17  The objects of the CIO are, each for the<br>the charity as set out in its  public benefit:<br>governing document<br>a) The relief and assistance of people in<br>need in Asia who are the victims of war<br>or natural disaster; by supplying<br>them with food and medical aid;<br>b) The relief and assistance of people in<br>need in the UK and Asia who are the<br>victims of poverty; by supplying<br>them with food and financial assistance<br>in order to facilitate the restoration of a<br>minimum acceptable quality of<br>life for them;<br>c) The advancement of further education<br>for individuals in deprived areas of the<br>UK through the provision of private<br>tutoring and mentoring funded by the<br>charity, thus equipping said individuals<br>with the tools necessary to create<br>more promising lives for themselves and<br>their families, as well as make a larger<br>contribution to wider society;<br>and<br>d) The advancement of the Islamic<br>religion by the provision of services and<br>assistance to small local mosques in<br>the UK who cater for a small number of<br>worshippers and therefore often run in to<br>situations whereby there are<br>no funds available for essential mosque<br>maintenance, by supplying them with the<br>financial assistance necessary<br>to maintain the upkeep of the mosques.<br>Summary of the main  Para 1.17 and  Given the unprecedented number of<br>1.19<br>activities in relation to those  natural disasters which occurred during<br>purposes for the public  the period in question, the trustees<br>**----- End of picture text -----**<br>

benefit, in particular, the  consciously decided to focus exclusively<br>activities, projects or services  on the first two objects listed above<br>identified in the accounts.  relating to the provision of food, medical<br>aid and financial assistance to those who<br>were victims of said natural disasters or<br>those who were more at risk anyway due<br>to extreme poverty. This meant that no<br>work was undertaken pertaining to the<br>last two objects, which is something<br>which will therefore be prioritised next<br>year if possible.<br>With respect to the charitable work that<br>was undertaken pursuant to the first two<br>objects above (thus helping achieve<br>them), this can be summarised as<br>follows:<br>March 2022:<br>Partnership with A123 Trust charity,<br>delivering food and essential supplies to<br>poverty-stricken villages in Nairobi,<br>Kenya<br>May 2022:<br>Grant to Your Legacy Global to help<br>needy orphans in Malaysia<br>August 2022:<br>Exploratory visit to Pakistan to look at a<br>potential grant to enable the construction<br>and operation of an orphanage in<br>conjunction with the As-Siraj Trust<br>charity<br>September 2022:<br>Provision of food, daily essentials and<br>medical supplies to flood victims in Swat,<br>Pakistan, in conjunction with the Swabi<br>Bikers Club<br>January 2023:<br>Trip to Pakistan to provide food and<br>medical supplies to flood victims (in<br>Dadi, Sindh) and the poor, in conjunction<br>with the Street Child charity<br>Statement confirming  Para 1.18  All incumbent trustees have read the<br>whether the trustees have  guidance issued.
