## Objects and Activities 

## Objects (Charitable Purpose) 

'For the public benefit, to advance education in, and the science of, interspecies communication by adding to the collective knowledge and understanding of interspecies communication and by promoting research and creating a global network to share and apply research in the subject.' 

## Activities 

To continue to advance education and the science of interspecies communication since formalising, we have delivered 1 conference, 12 lectures, including 22 speakers and increased our membership to 5777 representing over 300% growth. To continue to drive progress, we appointed a Head of Programming, Kate Armstrong, to curate and deliver more content. In 2023 we plan to develop our online presence into a hub of resources, references and citizen science tools to share the history and latest research findings in an effort to further advance and support the field of animal communications. 

## Achievements and Performance 

Our 2021 conference has had a live audience and online viewings totalling over 3300, the membership has reached nearly 6000 with over 300% growth, and our lectures have been seen over 2500 times and counting.

## Financial Review 

Since launch, we are yet to raise any finances. All work is voluntary, and this year we will look to develop a fundraising strategy. We have no funds held in reserve.

Interspecies I/O is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with charity registration number 1195800. It is governed by its Articles of Association, last revised in 2021. The Articles of Association set out the charitable purposes for public benefit.
