TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 OCTOBER 2023
The CIO, charity number 1195732, is constituted by the CIO – Foundation document and was registered on the 6[th] September 2021. The charity, number 230676, will be transferring all its assets to the CIO at a future date.
The principal office of the charity is Flourish House, Cathedral Park, Wells, BA5 1FD.
Objectives & Activities
The objectives of the fund are the relief of:

Any financially needy clergy and their families licensed or with PTO (permission to officiate) from the Bishop of Bath and Wells within the Bath, Chew Magna, Locking, Midsomer Norton and Portishead deaneries.

Any financially needy clergy and their families residing within the said deaneries.

Any financially needy widows, widowers or partners, along with their children, of deceased clergy, who before they died were last licensed in the said deaneries.

Any financially needy former spouses or partners, along with their children, who immediately before the relationship broke down, were the spouses or partners of clergy who were licensed in the said deaneries.
The activities are that the trustees paid out grants in accordance with the objectives.

All trustees are appointed ex-officio in accordance with the fund’s rules.
Financial Review
The BCFF, charity number 230676, has been bequeathed a large amount of money and this year has received funds from the sale of a house which was part of the estate. The CIO has been set up in readiness, so the funds will be transferred to the CIO.
Therefore the total receipts for the year, including investment income, were NIL . NIL was paid out in grants and professional fees.
Public Benefit
The trustees have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on benefit by the Commission in exercising their powers or duties.
