Annual Report of Trustees for Crayford Bap�st Church – June 2026
Bap�st Union of Great Britain and London Bap�sts. It is a small Church near the centre of the town of Crayford. The Annual Accounts, independently examined, are a�ached and reflect a very posi�ve financial posi�on as we look to the future.
We have a temporary Interim Minister to help us prepare for future full-�me ministry. The Church also owns a house for a future minister to live in; the manse is currently rented out.
The Church is ac�ve each week with a range of groups and events serving people of all ages. Sunday worship and teaching of Chris�an truth is a priority. The groups include home groups, prayer mee�ngs, a parent, carer and toddler group, coffee mornings, cra� sessions and men’s breakfasts. We also regularly li�er-pick the neighbourhood. The Church lets space to a nursery and other occasional groups, but always has in mind the overall benefit to the charity. Some car park spaces are also let out to members of the community.
The Church works in partnership with Churches Together in Crayford, arranging events that enhance Chris�an unity and reach out to the community. These include a Community Fridge opera�ng weekly from our premises.
The Church has an interest in the wider world and gives grants to support the work of mission both na�onally and interna�onally as agreed by our members.
We have a growing ministry to children and young people on a Sunday and are aware of our need to safeguard. For this reason, we have appointed a Designated Safeguarding Officer and all who work with them are DBS checked. We are also commi�ed to pastoral care of all members and friends, with one of our Trustees having a special brief for this.
We are so grateful for the work of many people in the Church who serve as volunteers. The Church could not operate effec�vely without them.
The Trustees are always mindful of the need to operate within the guidelines of the Charity Commission. We are posi�ve about the future and have pleasure in presen�ng this report. We maintain a website, h�ps://www.crayfordbap�stchurch.co.uk, and a Facebook page.
