The Trustees confirm that the Annual report and financial statements of the charity comply with the current requirements guided by the Charity Commission. Requirements, the requirements of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" issued in March 2005. Structure, Governance and Management Governing Document The Church ministries governing document is the Memorandum and Articles of CIO dated 2151 July 2021. Trustees The Trustees of the Church are responsible for the day-to-day management of the Church business in accordance with the Church's objectives. The Trustees meet approximately a monthly basis to discuss a full range of matters relating to the life of the church activilies including finance, general administralion, the implementation of the church Constitution and church membership. Trustees are our church members. We recruit on the b8SlS that they are members of our church from over 5 years and have the relevant skills. They need to show interest in our charity and need to be regular atlendees of our Sunday service. The induction process for any individual newly appointed as a Trustee receives copies of the following documents.. The memorandum and articles of CIO The most recent financial slatemenls The Charity Commission's guidance" The essential trustee. Church Members Our church members vary from different age groups. We are a very small congregation. The church members consist of youngsters, youth, adults, and elderly people. The church members play an integral role and share the responsibility for the finances, administration, maintenance, and aGtivilies of the Church. The church members share the same faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and desire lo worship and serve God in the context of the stalement of fundamenlal truths of Pentecostal church of God in Great Britain. Church membership is open to Ihose who.. Want to be part of community. Want to be part of a congregation. Want to help and take part with church activities, church maintenan and socially intact. Vulnerable individuals. Risk Management The Church's primary concern and objective is the glory of God. Whilst it is the Church's policy to trust wholly in the Lord thal He will work out His purpose to this end, the Church also acknowledges that it has a responsibility, both as individual member and as a body of members, for the identification and proper management of risks faced by the church in achieving its primary aim. The congregation got own church building which we bought from Methodist church through mortgage process. The congregation are not using anymore rented place for worship. However, the Trustees do discuss risk management during their meetings in relates to its finances, policies, and prO￿dUres'. Data management.. If a church has member records, it faces data management risks. The way to avoid this risk is to safeguard the information we hold. Only the trustees and volunteers are responsible to avoid breaches and prevent errors. Negligence.. Trustees are responsible to prevent hazard before public comes into the church service, during the service and when leaving the premises after service and always be alert. Policies and Procedures There is a child protection policy in pla￿. Criminal Records Bureau checks are carried out prior to commen¢ement of any volunteer employment or trusteeships. Reserve Policy The charity maintains a level ol free reserves lo mitigate against the risk that the charity experiences an unexpected event which could put us in financial drfficulty. This might include an event which could bring Asian Heart of Jesus Ministries into disrepute, the premises being forced to close for a long period of time, or a serious decline in the economi¢ enviionment we operate in. The absolute level of reserves is reviewed annually by Trustees, considering ouf long-lerm and medium-lerm financial commitments and the policies in place that cover the church and trading subsidiary for an unexpected loss of income for a period of up to years. The Trustees are of the opinion that financial cover of three months medium to long term financial commitments would provide sufficient flexibility lo cover temporary shortfalls in incoming resources and will allow the ministry to cope and respond to unforeseen emergencies whilst specific action plans are implemented. As at 31, March 2024, the policy required the Trustees to set aside £3000.00 of reserves. Objectives, activities, and Strategies: Objective In accordance with the memorandum of CIO, the Church's objects are.. 1) To advan￿ the Christian faith for the benefit of Ihe public in accordance with the statement of failh appearing in appendix l in particular but not exclLtsively, by.. a) establishing places of worship, the holding of prayer meetings and lectures and the proclaiming of Christian messages of an evangelistic and teaching nature in Walsall, Birmingham and beyond b) demonstrating, promoting, and encouraging Christian values, including dignily, empowerment, and partnership to all people in Walsall, Birmingham and beyond 2) To relieve poverty, need and sickness in Walsall, Birmingham, and other parts of the world as the trustees decide through the provision of grants, items, education, and practical action, working with those affected either directly or through relevant relief agencies. Activities Asian Heart of Jesus Ministries is an independent Pentecostal church of God. The congregation is drawn from a wide range of cultures from across Walsall West Midlands and caters for all age groups. The Church has maintained a strong presence in Walsall over the last 19 years. The Trustees have given due regard to the Charity Commission's guidan￿ on public benefit and, in particular, the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. During Ihe year the Church continued to carry out the following activities in order to promote the Gospel.. Family worship service on Sunday bemeen 10.'45 hrs - 01.00 hrs. consisting of a range of activities including worship and preaching. Sunday school.. Aimed at the needs of preschool children. Takes place during the service. Comprises a mix of play, bible teaching and worship. OutreachlEvangelism= Outreach is carried out time to time depending on the weather and availability of volunteers. Further outreach has also been planned. Special services: Seminars, Good Friday service, Easter service, Christmas play and Carol service, Christmas eve service, Christmas day service, New year Eve service and Family get together during summertime. Work for poverty: Collected new and used clothes, shoes, toys from church members and helped needy people in Pakistan. Helped youth, Sunday school teachers and Pastors by providing financial support to meets the needs of Multan church in Puniab Pakistan. Public benefit.. PLtblic members can socially interact in all adivities the Church performs. Public can get support and are welcome to join all services. Public can be involved in helping and volunteering. strategies The church strategy for the future is to bring more volunteers in the Ministry who can help the Ministry to push God's work further. The church has 24-hour access, and more services, events, Bible study and trainings can be held frequently. Achievements and perfomiance. First Sunday of the month the church does a family service. The Pastor brings children and adult in fronl of congregation so they can learn how to speak lo the congregation and gel confident. Church keeps doing this performan under the pastor supervision and the children and adulls can confidently read bible and sing a song in congregation. This is our church big achievement to give them confidence and help grow their faith. By the grace of God our big achievement is that organisation renovated church building like church stage, kitchen. toilets, Sunday school hall painted and changed carpet. Sitting hall painted and put new vinyl. Pastor and some members done physically volunteer work for church renovation. This is an achievement that church have done nearly 80,/0 renovation work in church building. There have been special perfomiances in Chrislmas services and Nativity play. The Church congregalion has also increased in number this year. Plans for future periods. Asian Heart of Jesus Ministries believes God always makes His way and everything is in God's control and withoul Him we can'l plan things. To evangelise non-believers to save spirits for Christ. .& Healing crusades I revival meetings. .1 Will make security fence oulside the church boundary. Security camera system for church prolection.
