REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES
The Trustees present their report, together with the financial statements, for the period ended 5 April 2022.
Charitable status and objects
The Sorkhod Afghanistan Trust is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and was registered by the Charity Commission under number 1195654 on 27 August 2021. It has a Trustee Board accountable for the conduct of the organisation.
Its objects are to provide education, alleviate poverty, advance healthcare and make grants to Afghanistani individuals throughout the UK and in Afghanistan.

Public benefit
When reviewing the charity’s aims and objectives and in planning future activities, the Trustees pay due regard to the public benefit guidance issued by the Charity Commission.
Financial review
The charity has been dormant throughout the period under review.

Audit exemption statement
The Trustees consider that the charity is entitled to exemption from the requirement to have an audit under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 and that members have not required the charity to obtain and audit.
The Trustees acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of Section 130 of the Charities Act 2011 with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK ad Republic of Ireland (FRS102) and the Companies Act 2006
2. STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES
The charity had no transactions nor any other recognised gains or losses during the current financial period.
3. TRUSTEE’S REMUNERATION
None of the Trustees received any remuneration or reimbursement of expenses in the current or preceding financial year.
4. EMPLOYEES
The charity had no employees in the current or preceding year.
