The first phase of aquatic wild<br>flower species is now being propagated for<br>future planting.<br>We continue to engage with many public bodies<br>and institutions, including the Shropshire<br>Archaeological and Historic Society.<br>We regularly update the charity's website with<br>information on how the public can help protect<br>and improve the environment in their gardens.|

## **Achievements and Performance**

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|We have constructed a wildflower research<br>reserve at Hunkington Moat and to date<br>have planted 80 plus wild flower species.<br>Under the guidance of Historic England, we<br>have part-dredged the medieval moated site<br>to both restore the history and environment<br>in preparation for a programme of aquatic<br>wild flower species to be introduced in 2024.<br>In the construction of the wild flower reserve,<br>we are creating a site of protection cover for<br>hedgehogs and grass snakes from the<br>branches that have been collected/removed.<br>With the aid of MoD sites, we are starting to<br>collect rare, indigenous solitary bees and<br>wasps and are now introducing them the<br>Hunkington Manor Moat. This work is also<br>being replicated with satellite wild flower<br>meadows that have now been constructed at<br>MoD Bicester, RAF Syerston and shortly at<br>MoD Donnington.<br>As a result of our bee breeding programme,<br>we are continuing to embark on a nation-<br>wide bee release programme using NHS<br>hospitals as bee dispersal sites.<br>We continue to work with the volunteers at<br>RAF Shawbury, planting further new wild<br>flower species. Through the county<br>Lieutenancy office, this work is being<br>followed by His Majesty.|
