|Summary of the purposes of<br>the charity as set out in its<br>governing document|Para 1.17|Nurture Nepal (NN) exists to advance<br>education for poor, deprived people<br>anywhere in the world, particularly in Nepal,<br>to complete higher education by providing<br>them with financial support and sponsorships<br>for board and lodging, mentoring, training,<br>support and access to higher quality<br>education facilities which they could not<br>otherwise afford or gain access to.<br>The relief of financial hardship anywhere in<br>the world, particularly in Nepal,<br>by working with local leaders toprovide<br>items and services to individuals in need,<br>assisting in the provision of education,<br>training, healthcare projects and all the<br>necessary support required to enable<br>individuals to generate a sustainable income<br>and be self-sufficient.|
|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19|In 2023 we provided regular financial support<br>to a Nepali NGO – Living Water Hostel<br>(LWH), in Kathmandu, Nepal.<br>LWH provides accommodation, food and all<br>that is needed for youth, aged 16-24, to stay<br>there in order to pursue their chosen further<br>education.<br>Trustees kept in regular contact with the key<br>workers running LWH.<br>Supporting website promotion of the<br>charitable work by funding a NN website<br>domain and the site itself.<br>NN is not yet supporting the relief of need<br>purpose or starting any community<br>development projects, other than support to<br>LWH as outlined above.|

## **Achievements and Performance** 

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|SORP reference<br>Para 1.20|Over the whole year – 2023 – NN has<br>fulfilled its commitment to send regular<br>sums of money contributing to LWH’s<br>delivery of its services to the beneficiaries.<br>The hostel started and ended the year<br>with:<br>9 males (av. age of 18.33) and<br>27 females (av. age of 18.78)<br>**During 2023:**<br>Four students left (Two M. Two F.)<br>Four students joined LWH (Two M. Two F.)<br>Of those who left two had gained some<br>qualifications:<br>One woman achieved A ’level equivalents<br>One man graduated with a Bachelor’s<br>degree in Rural Development.<br>Five other students gained the equivalent<br>of A’ levels and stayed on to continue their<br>studies.<br>Another outcome for the students, who<br>work very hard, is that they have had some<br>recreational down time with NN’s funds<br>helping enable six trips. Four were within<br>the city to a Festival;  the Zoo; Chobar and<br>to see the Christmas lights.|
