The relief of financial hardship anywhere in
the world, particularly in Nepal,
by working with local leaders toprovide
items and services to individuals in need,
assisting in the provision of education,

necessary support required to enable
individuals to generate a sustainable income

to a Nepali NGO – Living Water Hostel

Supporting website promotion of the
charitable work by funding a NN website
domain and the site itself.
NN is not yet supporting the relief of need
purpose or starting any community
development projects, other than support to

Para 1.20|Over the whole year – 2022 – NN has
fulfilled its commitment to send regular
sums of money contributing to LWH’s
delivery of its services to the beneficiaries.
The hostel started the year with:
6 males (av. age of 18.33) and
19 females (av. age of 17.81).
**During 2022:**
Seven students left (Two M. Five F)
23 students came to LWH (Five M. 18 F)
Of those who left four had gained some
qualifications:
Two women achieved A ’level equivalents
and went on to start degrees while working
and living elsewhere (clearly still an
outcome for LWH);
One woman achieved her A ’level
equivalent and started a degree but then
moved out to get married;
One woman gained her Bachelor’s degree
and has started working.
A relevant outcome for the students, who
work very hard, is that they have had some
recreational down time with NN’s funds
helping enable six such trips (some away
from the city) to events/places such as a
Flower festival, Botanical Gardens and a

Conditions and provision at LWH have
been improved in that an adjacent property
was acquired (for rent) providing
accommodation for a further eight females.
Two of the ‘girl’s’ rooms have been
converted into nice common rooms with a
seating area and hot /cold water
dispensers.
A wall between the dining room and the
communal room has been knocked down
creating a bigger space for eating together
and socialising.
NB. As 23 new students arrived at LWH in
2022, qualification outcomes for them
cannot be expected until at least two years

financial position at the end

bank at the end of 2022 was reasonable.
However, if income had remained at the
level that was current at the start of 2022,
NN would have reached the reserve
amount (see next paragraph) of £1.5K by
the end of 2023.
Thankfully the balance is currently
significantly higher than this as we have
taken action to increase our income,
resulting in more funds than would have
been the case. Trustees are continuing to
