Objectives and activities
Objects
To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, preservation and improvement of the physical and natural environment using methods that sequestrate carbon from the atmosphere including (but not limited to) agroforestry, forest gardens and food forests
Main activities
Our main activity is to give grants to food forest and forest garden projects, primarily grants to fund the planting of such projects.
Achievements and performance
Factors beyond our control have delayed considerably the start of the charity. In particular, the Covid pandemic meant that banks were very slow to set up new accounts and it took some 6 months after charity registration to get a bank account functioning. This in turn delayed fundraising efforts. And without funds there can clearly be no grants given out. We are hopeful that the next year will be more successful.
Financial review
Bankers: Lloyds Bank.
Net monetary assets at the end of the financial year stood at £125. There are no funds materially in deficit.
Policy on reserves
The FFF does not require reserves, as there are no day-to-day costs of running the charity – any work required is done free by the Trustees.
The policy on reserves is reviewed annually by the Trustees.
Declaration
The Trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.
