The charlty provides a comprehensive on-line platform that enable5 UK charities and not-for-proflt
organlsations to find the funding. resources, help and data they need to deliver services to their
beneficiaries and to improve their govemano and financial stewardshlp
At the yeaf end, Charity Excellence had 40.C￿ members. growing at a rate of over 2.0￿ a month.
makin8 It the largest and fastell growing UK charity communlty. Over the year, monthly website
traffic grew from 35,CKQ to 52,CKJO. Together. the charrty members o* Charity Excellenco support
more than 10 million beneficiaries.
In 2022123. Charity Excellence began to position itself as a leader In the application of Artificial
Intelligence IAII in the charity sector. In previous year5. Chartty Excellence has provided
comprehensive support for charities In resp)nse to the Cost-of-Living crlsis and tools to address the
fundin8 dèficit during the Covid-19 and wJst-Covid-19 years. ￿ continues to res￿nd to changes in
pollcy and to issues and developments in the charity sector.
We are a registered charity governed by a board of independpnt trusteès who collertNety bring
signrficant senior charity and commercial sector expertise afid from variou5 profe$5ional disciplines.
At the year end, we had four tru5tees'.

other donations. Income is used to remunerate our founder/chief execuknve with a modest salary,
and to pay for development resources to work alongsi(te him. We wish to thank all our funding
or¥anisations which have enabled us to continue to provide our platFomi free of th•rge to members.
And we want to thank our Chief Executive forthe lon8 hours worked and unerrin8 focus on the
needs of Charity Excellence member5.

We enter Financial Year 2023124 with a higher level of 8uaranteed funding than In prev50us years.
offering the stability needed to operate the platfomi and providing the basls for building our existing
income streams and bringing new funding onboard.
Charity held the bank reserye5 of £64,308 at the end of the period. 31 October 2023.
The Trustees considerthat there a￿ no material uncertaintie5 about the ¢hariV5 ability to continue
a5 a going concern.

The past year has been a period of significant achievements:
"Al Bunnles" and Al Tools: Launched on Christmas Day 2022. our new Artiftlal Intelligence
IAII enquiry fxilty- Al Bunnies- can manage up to 120 queries a minute and takes Ltsers to
$18nificant parts of the knowledge banks that are r￿t fully utilised. In March 2023 we
launched an Al tool for bid writing and in lune 2023 we Introduced a ChatGPT interface. We
expect to continue to develop Al too15 during the next two year5, including an Al concierge
service. Our plan to be a sector leader in the use of Al in the charity settor is delivering
significant beneftts to charitles.
Charfty Sector Data Store- The framework's Charity Date Store grew throughoLrt the year. Bv
Ottober 2023, the system's lrfetime sto￿d questionnaire5 total was 18,677, providing a
significant store of data with an estirnated number of data points of 485,0￿.
Sertor-wlde Ful￿1￿6 Cuts". In September 2023. we produced a report on the ￿du￿On In
fundin8 to the charity se¢tor u5in& information from the Charlty sector Data Store (see
above) and suNey data.
F4rture Plan5
Our plans for system development 2023124 include:
Wldesprvd Al Adoption: The hame55ing of Al in the charity settor is at the centre of our
plans for the future. We wlll continue to develop and roll outAI tools. providin8 acces5 to
our own Al services, allowin8 Others to delNer e-services, and potentially spinning off or co-
cre3t*ng with others.
UK Wide C￿rIty Data Network: We are currentty bulldlng a far more powerful principal
dashboard for deployment in 2024. This will enable us to exploit the master data Set far
more effettively, and will also give principal system5 to large charities, grant makers, groups
of charitie5 and more.
Al Contierge Ser¥ice: We plan gradually to bring other provider5 into the system, using Al to
grow our reach and to mi¥ratt our remaining 5VStem5 to Al to create ourAI Concier8e
Service Thi5 will help to create a single 8ateway to the sertor for anyone wanting to Ljse
charity servrces.

I report to the Trustees orb my examination of the accounts of charitable company for the year
ended 31 October 2023.
Ilesponsibllltles and ba$15 of report
The charity Trustees, who are also Dirertors for the purposes of company law, are respun5ible for
the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the CompanTre5 Act 2￿)6
'the 2006 Art,).
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required to be audited under Part
16 of the 2006 Art and are eligible for indÈpendent examination, I report in respert of my
examination of yOLtr charity's accounts carfied out under section 145 of the Charities Art 20111'the
2011 Act'l. In carryin8 Dut my examination I have followed thè Dlrertions given by the Charity
Commi$5ion under section 14515}Ibl of the 2011 Act.
Independent examlnors statement
I have completed my e¥arnination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in
connection wtth the examlnatlon givin8 me cause to believe that in any material respect:
accounting records were not kept In respect of the Company as requlred by section 386 of
the 2CX)6 Act: or
the accounts do not attord wlth those record5; or
3. the account5 do not comply with the requirements of sectlon 396 of the 21J)6 Act other than
any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair viww, which is not a matter
onsidered a5 part of an independent examination,. or
4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the
Statement ol Recommended Practice for accounting and ￿portIng by charities applicable to
charities preparing their accounts in actordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
