The Object of the charity is:
THE RELIEF OF NEED BY REASON OF ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE, BROUGHT ABOUT BY DEPENDENCE OR ADDICTION TO DRUGS, ALCOHOL OR OTHER SUBSTANCES, BY MAKING GRANTS AND PROVIDING INFORMATION OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND SERVICES, NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES.
Activities
Supporting individuals who are entrenched in addiction to access the support they need to improve their lives.
One-to-one mentoring and advocacy.
This year Phoenix has offered an advocacy service to individuals struggling with addiction to access the following support:
- Appropriate housing support and signing up to the housing register

Advocating for the individuals to get the correct points and priority need in housing where appropriate

Support and referrals to get correct diagnoses

Debt relief order referrals and support

Support to involve children’s services where additional support was needed for children of adults suffering with addiction

Referrals for children of adults suffering with addiction to get correct diagnoses and support, for example children suffering with ADHD have been diagnosed though our service, and their family now have the support they need
Achievements and performance
Phoenix was successful in obtaining an Awards for All grant from the national lottery of £10,000. Phoenix offered a safe place for individuals struggling with addiction to come along to and created a video to break down barriers between communities of individuals who do not suffer from addiction and those that do.
Phoenix was successful receiving a grant of £2000 from The Albert Hunt Trust which helped Phoenix support more benefices.
In the first year as a new charity phoenix has supported over 30 individuals to get the help they needed to improve their lives.
