Objeclives and Activilies
The charity was established lo advar￿e the Hindu faith and promote community
cohesion, education. cultural awareness and social welfare wiihin Lancaster,
More¢ambe and the surrounding areas.
During the period. the Charity expanded its local community outreach by securin9
vital institutional grant fundin9. It organised and supported a wide range of cultural.
religious and community aclivities for local residenls. These included celebrations of
Ganesh Chaturthi. Navratri, Holi and a dedicated Laneasler Festival event, alongside
community engagement iniliattves, health and wellbeing programmes (Bolly Yoga
classes) and memcKial events.
The truslees continued to work with volunleers and members of the local community
lo provide opportunities for social interaction. cullural education and active
participation in Hindu ￿ligioUS festivals.

The Irustees have had due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commis510n
on public benefit when planning and deliveriThJ these community. religious and
cultural activities.
Achievements and perfo￿anCe
The charity successfully delNered an expanded Fryramme of community events
during ils second reporting period. Supported by funding from the Lancashire BME
Network and Comic Relief. aclivilies brought together people from diverse
backgrounds. promoted physical wellbeing through yoga sessions and helped
preserve traditional music and cultural practices.

Financial Review
DuTing the period. the charity received total income of £5.588, comprising
institutional grants logether with individual event Gontributions and community
fundraising activibe5. Tolal expenditure amounted lo £6.620 and included community
evenl cosls. sports equipmenl. venue hire. insurance. subscriptions and
administralive expenses incurred in delivenng the tharivs activities.
The charity recorded a deficil of £1.032 for the year, which was funded from reserves
broughi forward from the previous year. Cash funds al 31 March 2023 amounled lo
£2.770. All assets are retained for future use lo support community aclivilies.
The tnjslees are satisfied thal Ihe charivs resources were applied solely in
furtherance of its charitable objedives.
Reserves Poli
The trustees consider il appropriale to maintain sufficient reserves to meet future
operating costs and support planned charitable activities. On 31 March 2023. the
charity held unreslricled cash reseNes of £2.770. The charity does not hold any
funds as a custodian trustee.
