## **Financial Review**

|**Financial Review**|||
|---|---|---|
|Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period|Para 1.21|The financial position is changed from the
previous year; there was a shortfall in
income over expenditure due in main to the
added costs of running the new minibus.
Fortunately, the significant growth of the
membership over the last year will ensure
that our income will at least match our
expenditure in the financial period of 25/26.
Planning permission is expected in the
Summer of 2025 and, therefore, the
associated costs will disappear.
As referenced earlier the donation of a
minibus has been a major boost to the
charity, however it does place an additional
burden on the club’s finances as seen in
the financial statement.|
|Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held|Para 1.22|The historical reserves were held to
support the application for a new gym. This
process is nearing it completion (Summer
2025) and once the permission has been
granted, the process of raising funds for the
new build can begin. We continue to
work in partnership with Exmouth Town FC
Ltd.|
|Amount of reserves held|Para 1.22|£24,460|
|Reasons for holding zero
reserves|Para 1.22|NA|
|Details of fund materially in
deficit|Para 1.24|NA|
|Explanation of any
uncertainties about the
charity continuing as a going
concern|Para 1.23|NA|

|Type of governing document
(trust deed, royal charter)|Para 1.25|Trust deed|

|Trustee selection methods
including details of any
constitutional provisions e.g.
election to post or name of
any person or body entitled
to appoint one or more
trustees|Para 1.25|At present there are sufficient trustees to
manage the club in its current location. The
increasing delay in the planning process for
the new gym is frustrating, but the trustees
are confident that by the summer of 2025
full planning permission will have been
secured.
The trustees will establish a sub-
committee, when required, whose sole task
will be to appoint new trustees. The full
committee will take the final decision
following due diligence. This will be key to
the success of the new gym at Warren
View. Once permission is granted the
charity may consider appointing more
trustees to support the challenging work
that will be necessary to undertake in order
to secure funding for the new build.|
