This development<br>will also enable us to provide more<br>sessions in the 22/23 season.<br>Our annual show this year consisted of 34<br>bouts with clubs from across the country<br>participating in the pre-quarter finals of the<br>English Boxing Development<br>Championships. Our members performed<br>well and although they didn’t qualify for the<br>next round, this was invaluable experience<br>at this stage of their development.<br>The Club was approached by the local<br>college and parents and asked to admit a<br>youngster who was proving difficult to<br>manage at home and at college. The club<br>has a well-earned reputation locally for<br>challenging the negative behaviour of<br>youngsters, and this year the senior<br>coaches have witnessed a significant<br>change in the attitude and concentration<br>exhibited by this young person.<br>The Club is also involved with young adults<br>with drink and drug related issues who<br>presented themselves at the club with the<br>aim of changing behaviour through the self-<br>discipline which is a key ingredient of being<br>a boxer.|
