The Trustees present their report and the financial statements of the Charity for the period ended 31
December 2023. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice
ISORPI "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" IFRS 1021 in preparing the annual report and financial
statements of the Charity.
The financial 51atemenls have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies sel out in notes lo
the accounts and comply wlh the Charity's governing document, the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting and
Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounts
in accordance with the Finaneial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS1021
issued in October 2019.
Objectives and activities
Since fomiing the Charitable Incorporated Organisalion ICIOI in 12 August 2021 the Charity has been
dormant.
The objects of the charity are'.-
The relief of people in need due lo poverty, hardship or distress in Coventry by providing grants,
items and services to individuals in need andlor charities, or other organisalions working to
prevent or relieve poverty and distress. In exceptional cases the trustees may grant relief to
persons who are resident immediately outside the said city.
To relieve financial hardship, amongst elderly people by providing grants.
For the advancement of education for the public benefit lincluding social and physical Irainingl of
people in Coventry in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, Including by..
o funding scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants al any university, college or
institution of higher or further education.
o funding education (including the study of music or other arts), travel in furtherance of that
education, research projects, or to prepafft for entry to any occupation, trade or profession
on leaving any educational eslablishmenl.
o in exceptional cases the Iruslees may provide funding and financial assistance to persons
who are or who have a parent or parents resident immediately outside the said city.
To promote the arts, preserve historic buildings, improve amenities or facilities for recreation and
other leisure activities within Coventry for the public al large in the interests of social welfare and
with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.
Plans for future periods
11 is anticipated that the assets and activities that are currently held within The General Charity, Coventry
(Charity number 2162351 wll be transferred to the Bond's and Ford's Almhouse Charity once approval is
obtained.
The Trustees are in agreement that these assets will be transferred at an appropriate lime.
StructuTr, governance and manag9ment
The Charity was established on 12 August 2021 and was formed as a Charitable Incorporated Organisalion.
The adminislralion of the Charity is vested in the Trustees. No Trustee has received any remuneration.
We approve the Trustees. Report in our capacity as Trustees.

Summary of significant accounting poli¢i¢s
{al General infomiation and basis of preparation
The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102. The financial statements have
been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 issued in
October 2019, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of
Ireland IFRS 1021, the Charities Act 2011, and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
The charity has does not include a cash flow statement on the grounds that il is applying FRS 102
Section 1A.
The financial statements are prepared on a going concern basis under the historical cost convention.
