Section D Achievements and performance

Alcester and District Community First Responders have operated Summary of the main in support of WMAS throughout the review period. They achievements of the respond to 999 calls in the area at the direction of WMAS charity during the year controllers. The group comprised 7 responders during the period all of whom were trained to WMAS standards. Two members were practicing paramedics responding in their off duty hours. During the year in question the group responded to a variety of incidents and provided on average 50 hours of cover per week. During the year the group was presented with a Scheme Car by the specialist charity Arrive Alive. This fully liveried vehicle is provided on permanent loan and is insured and taxed by the group themselves. It does not allow members to break any traffic regulations but does enhance its local image which should assist with fund raising activity. Arrangements were made to house the vehicle at Alcester fire station when not in use by members.

In addition to incident responding the Group has also led activity to train the local community in the use of AEDs and the delivery of CPR. In this respect x8 events were held and circa 366 members of the community were trained. The groups financial situation remains strong with donations being the only form of income. As can be seen from the annual accounts income has broadly matched expenditure even given the additional costs involved in operating the Scheme Car. Financial income in the period was £337 less than expenditure leaving a balance at bank on 31/12/2022 of £11631
