financial statement of the company comply with the current statutory requirements, the requirements of the
companys governing document and the provisions of the Slalememt of Recommanded Practice ISORPI.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMNENT
A. Constititution
The organisation is a company limited by guarantee incorporated on 12th April 2021. Its constitLrtion is logged
with the Chaiity Commissoin. The chatity Is constituted under the Memorandum of Assici8tion upon
inincorporation and is a registered charity number 1195470.
B. Method of Appointment of Truseos
The Trustees form the Management Committee. The Management Committee may co-opt to serve on the
committee pioviding ahfifays that the number does not exceed one third of the total elected membership of the
rllanagement comrnittee.At every Annual Gener81 Meeting one third of those elected at the AGM shall retire
from the office.The Management Committee seeks to ensure a good mix of skills from the business, social
and voluntary sectors and a150 las an ongoing poliry of Identtfying 5Ultale potenbal tnembers.
C. Governance
The Rainham Education & Cultural Society IRECSI 15 charitable Company limited by guarantee.
The management committee IBODI have assessed the major risks which the charity is exposed, in particular
those ie18ted lo the operation5 and lin8n￿s of the charity. During the year m8n8gernent stiengthened the

Due to covid we were limited in the activities we could perform. during the year of reporting, we were involved
in planning application for th8 property W8 rented out with a view to purchase if w8 get the planning to convert
to cornmunity centre with prayer facilities. As we don't have planning permission to use the premises for other
activities, we are managing Friday Servi￿ for men at the Rainham library. We have been organising Eid
prayers since 2021. we have hosted 8 few events including Iftsr and online serninars.
Finan¢ial Review
The Statement ol financial activities shows a net sutplus of £6,108 for the year. Management committee has
put necessary control in place lo avoid any mismanagement of funds.
Principal funding sources
The charity's main source of income is donation from members ol the congregation.
Investment policy
Cutrenlly. the charity has no investment.
Future plans
It is currently renting the property and its intention within the next financial year is lo raise funds to purchase
the building for community centie and prayer facilities. Aim to purchase by 2023 and Increase activities.

The rnanagement committee are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hen￿ for

Accounting policies
1.1 Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance wlh Accounting and Reporting by
Charilies.'Slatement of Recommended Practice appicicable lo chaities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
IFRS 1021 leffective 1 January 20151- (Charities SORP IFRS 102}I, the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Companies Act 2006.
Rainham Education & Cultural Society meets the defination of a public benefit entity under FRS
102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised al historical cost or transaction value unless
otherwise staled in the relevant accounting policy.
The Charity prepares ils financial stslements in sterling, the functional currency of the Charity, and
amounts are rounded lo the nearest £.
1.2 Company status
The Charity is a company limited by guaranlee.The members of the company are the Trustees
named on page 1. In the event of the Charity being wound up, the liability in respect of the

All income is recognised once the Charity has entitlement to the income, it is probable that the

Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or conslruclive obligation to transfer economic

activity. The costs of each activity are made up of the total direct costs and shared costs, including
support costs involved in undertaking each activity. Direct costs attributable lo a single activity are
allocated directed to that activity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one activity and
support costs which are not attributsble lo a single activity are apportioned be￿een those
activities on a basis consislenl with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the
basis of b.me spent, and depreciation charges allocated on the portion of the asset's use.
Tumover
Turnover is measured al the fair value of the consideration received or receivable. net of discounts
and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the
rendering of services. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks
and rewards of ownership of the goods have transferred lo the buyer. Turnover from the rendering
of services is reeognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of
completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date
to the total eslimaled contract costs.

Intangible fixed assets are measured al cost less accumulative amortisalion and any accumulative
impaimienl losses.

Tangible fixed assets
Tangible fixed assets are measured al cost less accumulative depreciation and any accumulative
impaimenl losses. Depreciation is provided on all tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land,
at rates calculated to write off the cost, less estimated residual value, of each asset evenly over its
expected useful life, as follows..

Investments
Investments in subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures are measured al cost less any
accumulated impairment losses. Listed investments are measured at fair value. Unlisted
investments are measured al fair value unless the value cannot be measured reliably, in which
case they are measured at cost less any accumulated impairment losses. Changes in fair value
are included in the profil and105s account.
Stocks
Stocks are measured al the lower of cost and estimated selling pri￿ less costs lo complete and
sell. Cost is determined using the first in first out method. The carrying amount of stock sold is
recognised as an expense in the period in which the related revenue Is recognised.
Debtors
Short term debtors are measured at transaction price (which is usualty the invoice pri￿1, less any
impaimienl losses for bad and doubtful debts. Loans and other financial assets are initially
recognised al transaction price including any transaction costs and subsequently measured al
amortised cost determined using the effective interest method, less any Impairment losses for bad
and doubtful debts.
Credltors
Short term creditors are measured at transaction price Iwhich is usually the invoice pri￿). Loans
and other financial liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price net of any transaction costs
and subsequently measured al amortised cost determined using the effective interest method.
Taxation
A current lax liability is recognised for the tax payable on the taxable profit of the current and past
periods. A current lax asset is recognised in respect of a tax loss that can be carried back to
recover lax paid in a previous period. Deferred lax is recognised in respect of all timing dIfferen￿S
between the rec￿nitIon of income and expenses in the financial statements and their inclusion in
tsx assessments. Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred lax assets are recognised only to the
exlenl that il is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred lax liabilities or
other future taxable profits. Deferred tsx is measured using the lax rates and laws that have been
enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting dale and that are expected lo apply lo the
reversal of the timing difference, except for revalued land and investment propety where the tsx
rale that applies to the sale of the asset is used. Current and deferred tax assets and liabilities are
not diseounled.

PmvisiTons
Provisions lie liabilities of uncertain timing or amount) are recognised when there is an obligation
al the reporting dale as a result of a past event, it is probable that economic benefit will be
transferred to settle the obligation and the amount of the obligation can be eslimaled reliably.
Foreign currency translation
Transactions in foreign currencies are initially recognised at the rate of exchange ruling at the date
of the transaction. Al the end of each reporting period foreign currency monetary items are
translated at the closing rale of exchange. Non-monetary items that are measured at historical
cost are translated at the rale ruling al the date of the Iransaclion. All differences are charged lo
profit or loss.
Leased assets
A lease is classified as a finance lease if it transfers substantially all the risks and rewards
incidental lo ownership. All other leases are classified as operating leases. The rights of use and
obligations under finance leases are initialty recognised as assets and liabilities at amounts equal
to the fair value of the leased assets or, if lower, the present value of the minimum lease
payments. Minimum lease payments are apportioned between the finance charge and the
reduction in the outstanding liability using the effective interest rale method. The finance charge is
allocated to each period during the lease so as to produce a constant periodic rate of interest on
the remaining balance of the liability. Leased assets are depreciated in accordance with the
company's policy for tangible fixed assets. If there is no reasonable certainly that ownership will be
obtained al the end of the lease term, the asset is depreciated over the lower of the lease term
and ils useful life. Operating lease payments are recognised as an expense on a slraighl line basis
over the lease term.
