Annual Report and accounts: Assembled UK Charity 1195458

Aim and purposes.

Assembled UK Charity has the responsibility of working alongside communities across the UK. With the purpose of promoting good well-being, social inclusion and creating good citizens for the public benefit among those who are suffering from poverty, and marginalised and the advancement of education in therapeutic coaching, pastoral support and community/schools chaplaincy.

Objectives and Activities

Assembled UK Charity is committed to enabling as many people as possible to grow individually and find their place within their world with a voice that will add to their community as valued citizens. Our service puts the ability of an induvial to change their world and be a model of positive interaction to engage with the local community and world issues.

When planning services with both adults and children we have considered the Commission’s guidance on public benefit, and we try to enable ordinary people to live out their life as part of their local community reducing isolation.

Each adult is encouraged to take responsibility for their own actions and to consider the impact of their on the world in which they live. In addition what changes can they personally make to benefit their life and their impact on the local community and its benefit.

Each Child has access to a program of online educational episodes online that review the world in which they live, engaging their passion for world issues, raising awareness of the importance of their safety and well-being and creating good citizens within society that honour and embrace governmental guidance on British values, the importance of diversity and cultural differences. Whilst nurturing an attitude of being all they can be.

This is achieved by tackling subjects such as:

To facilitate this work, it is important that we maintain an online presence and work across different age groups and cultures within society. No one group or person is excluded.

But not exclusively, by:

  1. Providing life coaching & pastoral support, educational programs, workshops, and training for people.

  2. Providing a community chaplaincy service that enables individuals to access support.

  3. Working with schools’ workshops, and online training for students around good well-being and self-care.

  4. Provide education that will build resilience, self-belief, confidence, and selfesteem through in-person and online platforms.

Achievements and Performance

Schools Educational Program Development

During this year we have been able to develop and deliver our online platform www.assembled.org.uk to deliver our school’s Educational Program through school assemblies. This has focused on the creation of good citizens and the awareness of well-being and world issues. Development costs were paid for by an Anonymous fund as a direct payment.

To date we have delivered the following:

Schools Pastoral care of staff and families.

Assembled UK has had the privilege of connecting with schools at different levels from support to school SLT, the staff in the reduction of stress and overcoming challenging circumstances.

In addition, we have had the honour of serving schools with the support of families in dealing with life-changing occurrences and the need to tackle poverty within the home.

Chaplaincy & Pastoral care

Chaplaincy has been a key element in the work of Assembled UK Charity, as is broken down as follows:

Financial Review

Total income and expenditure to the charity were ‘zero’ however the charity was blessed with an anonymous benefactor who chose to support the development costs of the online educational platform.

The costs of development were not met by the charity but paid directly to the developers to the tune of £27,000.

In addition, the Charity trustee and chairman gave of his time free of charge, which was equal to the value of £35,000, plus licensing software fees of £500 at personal cost.

Without either of these extravagant donations in kind, the charity would not have been in a position to deliver the services we have or be ready to launch a strong educational chaplaincy campaign to UK primary schools with a focus on disadvantaged schools.

Reserves policy.

It is Assembled UK Charity policy to maintain a balance on unrestricted funds (if possible), which equates to at least three months of unrestricted payments, equivalent to £6000, to cover emergency situations that may arise from time to time. The balance of £0 held on unrestricted funds, after designations, at the year’s end did not match this target.

Volunteers

We would like to thank all the volunteers, presenters and contributors who work so hard to make our Assembled Episodes what a pleasure to work with a lively and vibrant community of people. We want to mention Hayes School Paignton, Andrea Williams and Janine Lane for their support who have worked so tirelessly on our behalf. Emily Hornsby for her social media guidance and experience and Aaron & Frankie Williams for their review and programming editing.
