Thetrusteespresenttheirreportwiththefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyear ended
31December2024.ThetrusteeshaveadoptedtheprovisionsofAccountingandReportingby Charities:
StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordance with
the FinancialReportingStandardapplicablein the UK and Republicof Ireland(FRS 102)(effective1 January
2019).

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Objectives and aims

TheobjectsoftheJimJacksonEducationalandEnablingFoundationCIOaretoprovideforthe public
benefit, and on a worldwide basis the following:
The relief of need of disadvantaged young persons.
The advancement of education (including social and physical training) of disadvantaged young.
persons, in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including by:
-awardingtosuchpersonsscholarships,maintenanceallowancesorgrantstenableatany university,
college, or institution of higher or further education.
-providingfortheireducationandpreparingthemforentrytoanyoccupation,trade,orprofession on
leaving any educational establishment.
-assistingothercharitableorganisationswhoseaimsincludeadvancingtheeducationofsuch young
persons.
The reliefof unemploymentof disadvantagedyoungpersons,in such ways as may be thoughtfit, including
assistance to find employment.
'Disadvantagedyoungpersons'meansthosepersonsaged16-24whoarein needby reasonof youth, age,
ill-health, disability, financial hardship or otherwise.

Significant activities

Thiswasthethirdyearofoperationforthecharityandinadditiontoincreasingtheawarenessof its
objectivesand aims, and continuingto raise funds it was able to commencesupportingbeneficiaries during
theyearinamoresignificantway.Detailsofitsachievementscanbefoundinthecharitable activities
sectionbelow.Thecharitymovedmoretowardssupportingthirdpartyorganisationssuchas universities
and colleges in line with its strategic aims set out in the previous year.
Insummary£70,300wasspentoncharitableactivitiesduringtheyearwithcommitmentsofup to
£121,600 to be paid out in the following year on long term support activities.

Public benefit

ThetrusteesoftheJimJacksonEducationalandEnablingFoundationCIOconfirmthattheyare satisfied
thattheyhavecompliedwiththeirdutywithregardstoensuringthattheCharityhasundertaken suitable
works for the benefit of the public; as required by the Charity Commission.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Charitable activities

Duringtheyear,thecharitymadepaymentsof£70,300forcharitableactivities.Thisincluded £52,720
withinthe educationalfund, paid to third partycharitableorganisationsenablingthem to retain vulnerable
staffinfullemploymentwhilstsupportingthemwithapprenticeshipsinrecognisedqualifications. The
supportincludedtimeoffforstudyattendanceandstudycosts.Theseactivitieshavebenefittedboth the
thirdpartycharityinbeingabletoretaintheemployeesandtheindividualwhowillbenefitfrom a
structuredtrainingprogrammetosecureemploymentandtobeabletoseekfuture employment
opportunities as they arise using the skills and qualifications gained under this programme.
Inaddition,paymentsweremadetoindividualsamountingto£17,580tosupportlongerterm study
programmesandqualificationswithintheUK,IndiaandAfricaandthroughtheenablingfund where
supportwasprovidedthroughthesupplyofcomputers,ITandotherequipment,andwithpayment for
shorttermandoneoffcoursefeesleadingtoopportunitiesforindividualstodeveloptheirskills on
entering the business world .
Thecharityislookingtoextendthisprogrammefurtherinthefuturewithintheeducational sector
includingcollegesanduniversitiesandin 2024madepaymentsof£7,892tocommencesuch programmes
with a commitment of a further £121,600 to be paid in 2025.
ThetrusteeswereverypleasedwiththelevelofsupportprovidedbytheJimJacksonEducational and
Enabling Fund.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

Financial position

The resultsfor the year and the charity'sfinancialpositionat the end of the year are shown in the  attached
financial statements.
Duringtheyear,thecharityhadincomeof£154,066fromdonationsandlegacies.Totalexpenditure was
£79,218. There was an operating surplus of £74,848 in the year.

Principal funding sources

ThelargestsourceoffundsarisesfromdonationsfromAspectsBeautyCompanyLimited,andthe Jackson
Hillfamily.JimJackson,afterwhomthecharitywasestablishedandnamedwasthefounderand joint
managingdirectorof AspectsBeautyCompanybeforehe sadlypassedawayin February2021.Other funds
comefromgenerousdonationsfromcompaniesin the beautysectorand fromthe staffof Aspects Beauty
Company,whonotonlydonatefundsbutarrangeanumberofeventseveryyeartogeneratefunds and
awarenessof the charity.Othereventsare organisedby the companyand supportfor the charityis  always
represented. Friends of the company and family also make regular donations to the charity.

Reserves policy

The trusteesaimto maintainfreereservesin unrestrictedfundsat a levelwhichequatesto approximately
1yearofunrestrictedcharitableexpenditure,upfrom6monthin2023duetothelevelof future
commitments.Thetrusteesconsiderthatthislevelwillprovidesufficientfundstomaintainfunding of
ongoinggrantcommitments,torespondtonewapplicationsandtoensurethatadministration, support,
andgovernancecostsarecovered.Thebalanceheldasunrestrictedfundson31December2024 was
£295,735, of which £133,000 was  regarded as sufficient as free reserves.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Governing document

ThecharityiscontrolledandmanagedbyitsgoverningdocumentasaCIOthroughits Constitution
Document initially registered with the Charity Commission on 9th August 2021.

Recruitment and appointment of new trustees

Apartfromthefirsttrustees,everytrusteemustbeappointedforatermofthreeyearsbya resolution
passedata properlyconvenedmeetingofthecharitytrustees.In selectingindividualsforappointment as
trustees,thetrusteesmusthaveregardtotheskills,knowledgeandexperienceneededforthe effective
administration of the Jim Jackson Educational and Enabling Foundation CIO.
Inappointingtrustees,thereshouldalwaysbeafamilymemberandarepresentativefromthe family
business on the trustee board of the Jim Jackson Educational and Enabling Foundation CIO.
The charity trustees will make available to each new trustee, on or before his or her first appointment:

- a copy of the current version of this constitution; and

- a copy of the CIO's latest Trustees' Annual Report and statement of accounts.
Every trustee of the Jim Jackson Educational and Enabling Foundation CIO must be a natural person.
No individual may be appointed as a trustee if:

- he or she is under the age of 16 years; or

- heorshewouldautomaticallyceasetoholdofficeunderthesections178-180oftheCharitiesact 2011
(or any statutory re-enactment or modification of that provision) .
No one is entitledto act as a charitytrusteewhetheron appointmentor on any re-appointmentuntil he  or
she has expresslyacknowledged,in whateverway the charitytrusteesdecide,his or her acceptanceof the
officeofcharitytrustee.AtleastoneofthetrusteesoftheJimJacksonEducationaland Enabling
FoundationCIO must be 18 yearsof age or over.If there is no trusteeaged at least 18 years,the  remaining
trustees may only act to call a meeting of the trustees or appoint a new trustee.
Theremustbeatleastthreetrustees.Ifthenumberfallsbelowthisminimum,theremainingtrustee or
trusteesmayactonlytocallameetingofthetrusteesorappointanewtrustee.Thereisno maximum
number of trustees that may be appointed to the Jim Jackson Educational and Enabling Foundation CIO.

AsthecharitytrusteesoftheTrustyouareresponsibleforthepreparationoftheaccountsin accordance
with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act').
I reportin respectof myexaminationof theTrust'saccountscarriedoutunderSection145of theAct and
incarryingoutmyexaminationIhavefollowedallapplicableDirectionsgivenbytheCharity Commission
under Section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner's statement

Ihavecompletedmyexamination.Iconfirmthatnomaterialmattershavecometomyattention in
connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by Section 130 of the Act; or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

Thefinancialstatementsofthecharity,whichisapublicbenefitentityunderFRS102,have been
preparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReportingby Charities:
StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsin accordance
withtheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS 102)
(effective1January2019)',FinancialReportingStandard102'TheFinancialReporting Standard
applicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland'andtheCharitiesAct2011.Thefinancial statements
have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Preparation of the accounts on a going concern basis

Thetrusteesarenotawareofanymaterialuncertaintiesaboutthecharity'sabilitytocontinueas a
going concern.

Income

Allincomeis recognisedin theStatementofFinancialActivitiesoncethecharityhasentitlement to
the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.

Expenditure

Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructive obligation
committingthe charityto that expenditure,it is probablethat a transferof economicbenefitswill  be
requiredinsettlementandtheamountoftheobligationcanbemeasuredreliably.Expenditure is
accountedforonanaccrualsbasisandhasbeenclassifiedunderheadingsthataggregateall cost
relatedtothecategory.Wherecostscannotbedirectlyattributedtoparticularheadingsthey have
been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.

Taxation

The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities.

Fund accounting

Unrestrictedfundscanbe usedin accordancewiththecharitableobjectivesat thediscretionof the
trustees.
Restrictedfunds can only be used for particularrestrictedpurposeswithin the objectsof the charity.

Tradeandotherdebtorsandcreditorsareclassifiedasbasicfinancialinstrumentsandare initially

of the charity's cash management.
