Introduction

SVC Helping Hands International is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (“CIO”) founded primarily to alleviate poverty for the public benefit in Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.

This charity was registered on 30[th] July, 2021 with charity number 1195355.

Our Mission

We are driven by passion to help reduce poverty, educate needy children and contribute to fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, 3, 4, and 10.

Our Vision

Our vision is to substantially affect the quality of life and wellbeing of children and families that are below the poverty line.

Our Objective

The objective is to promote prevention and relief of poverty for the public benefit in Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.

Method of Appointment of Trustees

The composition of trustees was done in accordance with Section 251 of the Charities Act, 2011, ‘’Incorporation of Charity Trustees’’. Trustees are elected as per the Charity’s constitution.

Governance & Decision Making

The daily administration of the Charity was managed by all the Trustees equally through regular meetings.

Volunteers

Currently the Charity does not have volunteers, but plans and efforts are in place to improve upon sources of funding for the Charity in the coming years.

Principal Funding

Funding of the Charity was mainly from donations from Trustees.

Statement of Trustees’ Responsibility

The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Annual Report and Financial Statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations and in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.

By the dictates of Part 8 of the Charities Act, 2011 (with modifications in 2013), the Charity Trustees must (subject to section 133) prepare in respect of each financial year of the charity a statement of accounts complying with such requirements as to its form and contents as may be prescribed by regulations.
