I have presented the balance sheet and income statements for the periods 2022 to 2025 thus enabling year on year trend analysis. ## Accounting Treatment - A £3000.00 deposit has been made for the 2025 firework event in this accounting period. This has been pre-paid on the balance sheet. - All fixed assets have been fully depreciated. ## Findings - The Charity Income Statement has a net surplus in the period of £14,456 and the Administration account has a net surplus of £110.86 ## Recommendations - Continue to maintain income and expenditure day books preferably in excel with column and row casting. - Reconcile day books to the bank statements at least quarterly. - Ensure that all reimbursed expenditure has adequate evidence of payment IE valid receipts - Ensure floats are correctly accounted for. I suggest that a separate column is used within income and expenditure to account for this, and that you ensure that they are equal and opposite values at the end of the accounting period. ## Conclusion The review has shown that reserves have increased in the year mainly due increased profit from the fireworks display. The profit from the fireworks display has increased from £4895 in 2023/4 to £18,957 in 2024/5.
