|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|This report covers an18 month period to<br>come in line with our financial accounting<br>period.<br>During the past 18 months we have<br>distributed 3,031 parcels, which have<br>helped 319 households, feeding 4,071<br>adults and 2,408 children.<br>The Springboard Partnership with the<br>Churches Housing Action Team has seen<br>people supported with tenancy problems,<br>budgeting and clearing debts, looking for<br>housing including one homeless person<br>and other difficulties. One client, who had<br>issues with alcohol, applied for and was<br>granted the Right to Live in the UK .  He<br>then had recourse to public funds and has<br>since found work, no longer drinks too<br>much. The Community Support Advisor<br>continues to help people out of poverty.<br>A new initiative of a Foodbank Cafe started<br>in January, where people are welcomed to<br>come and have a drink and cake and chat<br>whilst waiting for their food parcel and<br>relationships are built with clients so as<br>better to support their needs. Clients can<br>then be referred to the relevant agency or<br>signposted as to where to get help. There<br>is support information and an energy<br>company, Southwest Water, Smoking<br>Cessation and a few other support<br>agencies attend occasionally.<br>A one-off garden clearance has helped a<br>few clients to get their gardens more<br>usable.|
