|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19|It is VoxThrive’s first year in operation and<br>therefore we have mainly been involved in<br>set-up activities – acquiring essential<br>equipment, establishing connections with<br>bodies needed to undertake our main<br>purpose etc.<br>In particular we have:<br>§<br>Established our position as a member<br>of the Children & Young People’s<br>Forum for West Berkshire through the<br>West Berkshire Volunteer Centre.<br>§<br>Made connections with a local charity<br>which offers counselling to young<br>people to learn from their experience<br>We have demonstrated our ability to run<br>programmes by<br>§<br>Providing a free family workshop to<br>learn a Christmas song for the Newbury<br>Christmas lights switch-on event 2021.<br>§<br>Jointly organised an ‘open mic’- style<br>Youth Music night with two other<br>organisations and sourced many of the<br>participants.<br>We spent a considerable amount of time in<br>discussion with a local charitable<br>organisation, exploring the possibility of a<br>partnership in order to gain access to<br>additional facilities. Ultimately this proved<br>not to be beneficial for us and we had to<br>withdraw from the process of establishing a<br>formal agreement.|





|||In May 2022 we ran a fundraising event –<br>VoxFest – which was open for the local<br>community to attend and enjoy musical<br>performances by youth and adult choirs<br>and other groups whilst enjoying<br>refreshments and other entertainments.|
