**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF ELDERLY PEOPLE WHO THROUGH A RANGE OF CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ESTRANGEMENT, CHOICE, HEALTH REASONS OR GEOGRAPHICAL DISTANCE, LACK MEANINGFUL SUPPORT FROM BIOLOGICAL CHILDREN IN THEIR AGEING PROCESS (“THE BENEFICIARIES”) BY:A) PROVIDING SUPPORT, PRACTICAL ADVICE AND INFORMATION TO THE BENEFICIARIES, INCLUDING THROUGH LOCAL PEER SUPPORT GROUPS, A WEBSITE, SOCIAL MEDIA, WEBINARS AND EVENTS;B) PROVIDING INFORMATION TO RAISE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE PARTICULAR NEEDS OF THE BENEFICIARIES IN THEIR AGEING PROCESS;C) CARRYING OUT AND PROMOTING RESEARCH INTO THE EXPERIENCE OF THE BENEFICIARIES IN THEIR AGEING PROCESS IN ORDER TO INFORM THE DEVELOPMENT AND PROVISION OF APPROPRIATE SERVICES TO THEM BY STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, THE USEFUL RESULTS OF WHICH WILL PUBLISHED.

**Activities:** AWOC supports those people who are ageing without children, for whatever reason, by raising the profile of the issues that face them and proposing solutions. We also support local AWOC groups across the country.
