Burradon Juniors Association Football Club

Charity No 1195078

Chairmans report for year ending 31st May 2024

Over the last Year, Burradon Juniors has seen 17 teams competing within leagues and cups. Along with our junior magpies the children's football is thriving, bringing the number of children to well over the 250 mark.

Within the club we have appointed new committee members in different roles which has the committee at 11 Volunteer persons. The coaching structure within the club has seen us now gain the number of our coaches to 38 in total. Also, within the club we currently have 26 team parent representatives. As you can see by the numbers the football club is heading in the right direction.

As a club we have been heavily investing in the club’s infrastructure, by managing to get fencing around our senior 11 aside pitch along with purchasing new machinery to help us strive to maintain and have the best facilities for the football club for the children to enjoy.

As we are now looking forward to the next year, we are already putting new things in place, amongst those things is recruiting more volunteers as well as supporting our current set of volunteers. We are planning on looking for new accessories to help the teams within the club and the club itself, like new goals, new footballs and kit for the children and coaches.

The club will now have 20 teams this season and still has our junior magpies which is enabling 3- to 6-year-old children start their journeys into grassroots football.

We are very excited by what we can achieve as a football club.

Burradon Juniors Chairman

John Murray
