## **' - PASTOR S REPORT AGM 2023**

The theme for 2022 was “Divine Fruitfulness”, based on God’s original purpose for creating man on Earth (Genesis 1:26-28). We challenged one another to discover the call of God on our lives, and to fulfil our assignments in service to mankind. We learned to live for the glory of God and for the good of man.

## Spiritual

The weekly Bible studies were mainly based on the book “God’s Pattern for Christian Service”, written by Brother Gbile Akanni and the Peace House Discipleship group, with the aim of fostering our discipleship relationship with Christ.

The prayer ministry continued to be a means of inspiration to many, as God graciously granted us the company of His presence each time we met.

The Worship Group faithfully led us in intimate times of fellowship with God.

## Outreach

At Easter, we held a ‘Praise in the Park’ outreach at Cliff Park in Harwich. We had opportunities to share the Gospel and to witness in song to those at the park and beyond.

In December, we co-hosted a centre for the Ministers’ Leadership Retreat (MLR) at Red House Farm in Stowmarket, with Brother Gbile Akanni ministering. Guests attended from across UK and Europe, and others were able to connect electronically from as far away as Oceania.

Financial aid was sent to various disaster relief and missionary agencies affiliated to King’s Way.

## Education Initiative

The Church continued to inspire, support and reward educational excellence by giving annual cash prizes to the best students in Maths, English and Science in each year group in all 10 schools in the town. In addition, trophies were presented to the most senior year groups.

## Membership

We have been blessed to see the spiritual growth and witness of the membership.

We saw the intervention of God in the lives of those who were ill, and we praise Him so much for His gracious mercies towards us. To God alone be all the praise and thanksgiving.

Without a doubt, God has been very kind to us! We are overwhelmed by His love and care. We give Him all the glory and seek His leadership for the years to come.

**TREASURER’S REPORT – AGM 2023**

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). This scripture happens to be one of the many testimonies of this church. Indeed, the Lord of the harvest through both our generous members in this church and our online viewers, has provided for the smooth running of this church.

Over the course of the year, we were able to engage in both digital and physical evangelism, engage in outreaches, baptismal, conferences, men and women breakfast meetings, coffee mornings, welfare, school initiatives, supporting missionaries, church maintenance and other church administrative functions.

It was agreed to sell the manse since it was becoming a liability , l am delighted to say that we have successfully sold . In relation to equipment for our outreaches, we have replaced most of our outdoor musical equipment for ones with better sound quality and easy mobility. Praise the Lord. All details pertaining to income and expenses will be provided in the yearly financial report.

Once again, l would like to say a big thank you to you all for giving to the Lord.

Efua Asamoah Treasurer

**WOMEN'S REPORT – AGM 2023**

Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and some other women were the ones who had gone to the tomb. When they returned, they told the eleven apostles and the others what had happened.

Luke 24:9-10 CEV

Our women met quarterly but interacted weekly, monthly and yearly with each other in the year gone by.

The aim of our quarterly meetings has been to refresh the women, that iron will sharpen iron and women will be encouraged to go and tell husbands, family and friends what has occurred in their lives through their encounters with Jesus. It has been a joyful and humbling experience for me to see what God did each time we met.

Lord as women we return to say thank You Sir. Please do even more with us, for us and through us in Jesus' name. Amen.

Our women have been active in every department of the church. They are women who enjoy serving God and can be called upon at anytime. I am blessed to know and to work with such women. Thank you ladies. Keep the fire burning, keep serving God and loving men they way you do and in due course, if you faint not, you shall reap your harvest. God bless the women of KWCC. Amen.

**CHILDREN'S CHURCH REPORT – AGM 2023**

## **Fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.**

## **Ephesians 6:4 CSB**

May I start by thanking the leadership of the church for providing an avenue for the children in our congregation to be brought up and trained in the instruction of the Lord.

Post Covid, the children's church had been a bit epileptic, but with the approval of the pastorate, we are back up and running. Thank you.

Our children love their classes. They are eager to participate. They encourage one another to attend and assist their teachers when they can. The teachings they are given is focused on who God is, what He does and how we should relate with Him. Our aim is to make God personal to them as opposed to being a fictional character. Please pray for us to achieve this in every life that God entrust to us in the children's church. Our prayer is that irrespective of how often they come or how long they stay, they'll encounter God and leave with His impression on their hearts.

It is only proper before I end, to say thank you also to Aunty Juliet. She took it upon herself to draw up a rota for the children's church, enabling the teachers to have time in the big church services too. This has proven to be a massive blessing to the children's church. God also added the hands of both Menna and Simona to the group and we are grateful for the immeasurable blessing they are to us.

Thank you my dear aunties. God bless you all richly indeed.

## **Tell your children about it, and let your children tell their children, and their children the next generation. Joel 1:3 CSB**

This is our prayer for our children here in KWCC, that the gospel will continue through them until Jesus returns. Amen.

Pastor Chienyeze Eradiri

**YOUTH REPORT – AGM 2023**

What a gloriously faithful Father we serve.

God is and continues to show Himself as the good God in the lives of our young people.

The last year has seen them make progress spiritually, physically, academically and socially, as God continues to reveal Himself to them as Lord in all areas of their lives.

It is with great delight and heartfelt thanks to God that I te this report. King's Way Community Church is blessed with the involvement of the youth in every sphere of the church. They are both willing and eager to serve and they do so with joy.

I praise God for their lives: collectively and individually, and pray this enthusiasm continues. Please as oft as you can encourage them too.

Last year we saw a comeback of the youth service and boy,

what a joy that was! We were challenged to dare to be different and take a stand for Christ come what may.

It's my deepest prayer that no matter what lies before them, each one of the youth in our midst will continue to serve God till the day the trumpet call of God sounds. Would you please join me in praying for them when you can.

Into Your gracious hands, dear Lord, we commend our youth. Please keep them and preserve them to the very end, in Jesus name. Amen.

Pastor Chienyeze Eradiri

## **WORSHIP TEAM REPORT - AGM 2023**

Last year we were privileged to have two outdoor Sunday services both at cliff park and our church car park. All went well and l will like to use this opportunity to say thank you to all who supported and helped with the movement of these equipment.

After both outreaches, we saw the need to replace most of our equipment for better sound quality and easy transportation and we thank God for this provision through His church. A part of the new equipment was used at our Christmas party in the towers hotel and our baptismal service which was a huge success.

We welcomed new members into the worship team this year. Their commitment and contribution have been amazing, and we thank God for their lives. We have seen a massive improvement especially in the children learning to playing the drums. We have been privilege to have the children also singing for offering. We don’t not take their eagerness to serve for granted. We were treated to good instruments playing and beautiful singing during our carol service. May the Lord bless our Sunday school teachers working hand in hand with us

we would like to say a special thank you to Uncle Ade and the technical team for working tirelessly to make sure that online and in house production is second to none. To the entire church, thank you for your support during worship, words of encouragement and prayers. May the lord bless and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you and give you peace.

Kuuku Asamoah.

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT**

## **Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of King's Way Community Church**

I report on the accounts of King's Way Community Church for the year ended 31 December 2022, which comprise the Receipts and Payments Account and the Statement of Assets and Liabilities.

## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under Section144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to:

examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;

to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and

to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

## **Basis of independent examiner's report**

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a "true and fair view" and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below:

## **Independent examiner's statement**

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

- (1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material aspect the requirements:

   - a) to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 130 of the 2011 Act; and

   - b) to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act;

have not been met; or

- (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
