Para 1.17 and 1.19 |
Our charity has engaged in several key activities to further our mission for public benefit. These include: Developing Partnerships: We have partnered with social enterprises that share our mission, particularly those providing IT equipment to Africa. This includes both recycling initiatives and supplying standalone solar-powered equipment. These efforts are aimed at bridging the digital divide and supporting educational access in underserved regions. EdTech Sponsorship and Support: Albion's sponsorship of the EdTech stream at Super Connect for Good 2023 was a significant activity. By providing judges for the 34 entrants and facilitating partnerships with the winners, we have promoted the development and implementation of innovative educational technologies. Grant Applications for Entrepreneurship Education: We have written and submitted numerous grant applications focused on delivering entrepreneurship education. These initiatives target communities in Africa and ethnic groups in Birmingham, aiming to equip individuals with the skills needed to foster economic growth and self- reliance. International Educational Relationships: We have established relationships with organizations in Ghana, Zambia, Nepal, |
| Liberia, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. These partnerships aim to provide tuition and educational services in these countries, thereby expanding our reach and impact on a global scale. These activities are integral to our purpose of enhancing educational opportunities and supporting economic development. They reflect our commitment to public benefit by ensuring that education and technology are accessible to all, thereby promoting equality and fostering global development. |

Achievements and Performance
SORP reference
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | We have made significant strides in fostering partnerships with other social enterprises that align with our mission. Notably, two of these partnerships focus on providing IT equipment to Africa. This is achieved either through recycling initiatives or by supplying standalone equipment powered by solar energy, thus addressing the digital divide in a sustainable manner. Additionally, Albion sponsored the EdTech stream at Super Connect for Good 2023. This sponsorship included providing judges for the 34 entrants and creating opportunities for collaboration with the winners, thereby promoting innovation in education technology. Our efforts in securing funding have been proactive. We have submitted multiple grant applications aimed at delivering entrepreneurship education to communities in Africa and ethnic groups in Birmingham. This initiative is designed to empower individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to foster economic growth and self-sufficiency. Moreover, we have cultivated relationships with organizations in Ghana, Zambia, Nepal, Liberia, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. These partnerships are focused on extending our educational services and tuition programmes to these countries, thereby broadening our impact and reaching more beneficiaries globally. These achievements not only improve the immediate circumstances of our beneficiaries by providing access to education and technology but also contribute to the wider societal benefits. By empowering individuals with education and resources, we promote economic development, reduce inequalities, and foster a more inclusive global community. |
