The Rotary Shop of Penzance was formed as a CIO in June 2021. The Charity has 8 Trustees.
For the duration of this accounting period the Trustees were:

*Robin Butler, Dee Lucking and David Mayo resigned as Trustees on 10[th] June 2025 having all relocated from Penzance and were replaced on 10[th] June 2025 by Lynn Symons, Nicola Keast and Peter Johnson.
The charity does not employ anyone but has circa 40 volunteers who serve in the shop, as well as assisting in the sorting, cleaning, pricing and displaying of pre-loved goods.
The objective of the shop is the relief of the poor and needy in Penzance, in Cornwall or in any other part of the United Kingdom.
The Rotary Clubs of Mounts Bay and Penzance merged with effect from 1[st] July 2025 and the Constitution of the Rotary Shop was amended and agreed with the Charity Commission to reflect this change.
The Trustees award grants out of the net income of the CIO.
The current economic climate has made the shop vital for those who have limited budgets.
