Trustees Report

Esther Deeleman, Martin Davey, Nina Davey

Mondays trips have not proved as popular as Thursdays and have been more difficult to find drivers to cover. So, starting with our new schedules in May/June/July, we will change our Monday trips to Tuesdays.

Sally-Anne has been doing a sterling job overseeing daily bookings with the aid of Philip who is covering calls next week. She was thanked by the team and offers of help were made. It was agreed that she, Philip, Sue Webber and Philippa will set up a rota to cover just 2 days a week for passengers to book their trips. The booking days are Wednesdays and Thursdays. Details will be made clear on the new schedules.

In June we celebrate our 5th anniversary and Esther is writing an article for the Feock Magazine, Penpoll Magazine and Carnon Downs. An appeal for new drivers will be made via these magazines as well as the Parish Council. There will also be an appeal for new trustees.

Martin Wilson and Martin Wayman both agreed to oversee any new drivers and take them out for a training session in the minibus.

Martin Wilson suggested we ask passengers to bring their blue badges so the bus may be parked more easily for passengers with mobility issues.

We have 16 months left on our lease and Martin Davey will speak to the lease company in August about the possibility of shortening a lease and increasing mileage on a future vehicle. We also want a better entry step to make it easier for passengers to get on and off. A wheelchair is kept at Linden Hey and is available for trips. However it takes up 2 passenger seats so they need to be included when bookings are made.

A new parking site for the minibus will be needed when the building, subject to planning, at Feock Garage starts.
