For the public benefit of the advancement of education for pre-school children in the village of Akurala, Sri Lanka, by building a kindergarten for early years education and providing educational goods, equipment and materials for the pre-school.

KFA received funding for these projects through donations collected at two fundraisers which were organised by a trustee and a volunteer.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main KFA have provided school supplies and uniforms for all of the children of achievements of the charity Happy Kids Kindergarten and funded a new building for the pre-school to during the year take place in. This will obviate the need for the children to travel to their last building, which was far from the centre of the village, and thereby encourage attendance. The new premises has running water, toilets, electricity, two large classroom areas and space to run around and playall of which they did not have in their old building. KFA hopes that this new pre-school can provide an early introduction to spoken English, maximising the children of Akurala’s opportunities at preparatory school and beyond.
