Naseby Village Band (NVB) Objectves: 

For the public benefit to advance, improve, develop and maintain public appreciation of the arts and science of music in such ways as the trustees think fit, including the practise and performance of concerts and other musical events, rehearsals and the training of individuals of all ages in music skills.

## 2025 Review and Outlook for 2026: 

The band enjoyed a busy performance schedule throughout 2025. In line with our 2025 Mission Statement, we focused on an increased number of performances in the local area / for good causes. In addition to the above performances, members of NVB also supported Nene Valley Community Band, playing alongside them at “A Night to Remember” Film Concert held at St. Matthew’s Church, Northampton on 4[th] October 2025. 

The charity’s principal source of funds continues to be member subscription fees, paid monthly or quarterly in advance, which is boosted by gift aid claims. Following consultation with band members, a small increase in membership fees was made from September 2025, in order to ensure financial stability going forwards. Additional income is generated from donations made by audiences at performances. Income covers the essential general running costs of the band, such as hiring a rehearsal space, MD fees and annual liability insurance. 

The band utilised the grant from Kelmarsh Windfarm Community Benefit (granted in 2024). This was spent on advertisements in local publications to attract new members (with the aim of strengthening the band and increasing resilience), personalised polo shirts, posters, banners, a sandwich board, and banners for music stands. 

We plan to broaden our performance offerings in 2026 by arranging our own local ticketed event / fundraiser. As well as providing the opportunity to raise funds, this will be a valuable addition to our performance calendar, which is currently primarily focussed on NVB performing at events arranged by external charities and businesses, and we look forward to the opportunity to showcase the band and benefit the local community. 

We plan to submit a grant application for new music, in line with the key charity objective of enabling the development of musical skills of members, and to enable us to offer varied public performances. We will continue to seek new members to fill vacancies. 

A new Treasurer was elected due to resignation, effective from 25[th] Sept 2025.
