## Purpose of Naseby Village Band (NVB) - Stated objectves: 

For the public benefit to advance, improve, develop and maintain public appreciation of the arts and science of music in such ways as the trustees think fit, including the practise and performance of concerts and other musical events, rehearsals and the training of individuals of all ages in music skills. 

## Events in 2022: 

Weekly rehearsals were in place, new music was purchased, and the band enjoyed a greater number of performance opportunities in 2022 due to the lifting of Coronavirus restrictions. 

## Performance Dates: 

Masonic Concert – 4[th] May 2022 

Naseby Jubilee Concert – 5[th] June 2022 

Naseby Village Fete – 17[th] July 2022 

Welford Christmas Tree Farm – 27[th] November 2022 

Naseby Church carol service – 27[th] November 2022 

The Royal Oak Public House – 22[nd] December 2022 

## Review of 2022 and Outlook for 2023: 

NVB will continue to rehearse weekly (during term time) and to arrange performance opportunities - for example Welford Christmas Tree Farm, Naseby Church and the Royal Oak Public House, plus any other additional concerts. 

The band will continue to drive recruitment, building on work done in 2022 including advertising on Facebook, distributing flyers in the local area, advertising on WhatsApp and in the Welford village newsletter. 

An increase in member subscription fees was considered in 2022 however Trustees agreed it was not necessary at this time due to grants received by Naseby Village Hall from the council which helped to reduce electricity costs. This will be reviewed in 2023.
