Our weekly Sunday morning service ha5 been well attended with many people trf all ages attending in-
person and some attending via Zoom. As a result, our membership has Brown l)y two. The church also
continues to hold a monthly prayer meetin8 on a Wednc5day cvcnirtg and a w('.ekly Woman's fellowship
on a Wednesday afternoon and a women's Bible Study on a Friday Afternoon. The church has six Life
Groups15mall groupsl that meet fortnightly in members. homes. either sn-persDn or a hybrid of both
online and in-person, for Bible Study and prayer. Durin8 the year. we had thret funerals. two baptismal
Scf4ices (where three people in total were bapti%•dl and one dedication service (with two childrÈn beine
dedicatedl.
This year thc youth 8roup has successfully maintained contact with an 3v•rage of 16 youn8 people
attending weekly. We had a handful of year 6 pupils joining us after Easter. Thp sessions are now livelier
with more energy since we made the move from FTiday ni8ht to Sunday night. This year we have looked
at the fJospel of Mark, useij Scripiure union The Grid ses51on plan5. covered Tr,e Identlty Cour>¥ dnd ni
Nua Sorieg. and ended the year with thp nid Tp4tampnt from thè Bible course. We held our annual youth
camp weekend in rnid-luly which included a Kayaking activity again. after the cuccess of this activity last
year. We continue to promote Bethany House Party and supported 5 young pEople finantially from the
liuritri Iu dLLEiid Lliis week av¥ay. We held o fundrai5ins car wash in October to help a3515t families
financiall¥ to attend camp. At Christmas the vouth helped to decorate the chu-ch. lead the worship in the
nativity service and joined in the choir at the Carol service. We also introducer a barn dance this year
which was enjoyed by all and will now be an annual event.
ABC Toddlers continues to run as a Faith based Toddler group. we now average 30 people. mums and
toddlers each week. We have Mums, Grandmas. and paid nannies who attene with their little ones.

friends. Half of the people who attend are not connected to any church. Relat onships are growing within

2025 has been a really good year for the Children's rnhnistry in ABQ We have more than 30 children in
ioial comlng along elther to ovr Sunddy ITIUIIIIIIXS oi afLei school club, Dodgel)all and Donuts.
ThrniJ8hniJt thp ypar WÈ have held many larger events aloneside our weekly ativities. ThrouRh such
events as Holiday Club. light party and multiple Christmas activities we have spen many new families
coming along and beginning to regularly join us.
Wv Iidve a fantasiic team of volunteers who help with all these artivities and ￿thout whom. many of
these events IU5t would not happen. It ho5 been an excitine 2025 with 2026 already looking promising.
From l April this year, Abergavenny Foodbank distributed 1,7(Kl emergency food parcels. Bosed on an
uf Lliiyr people sUPPOrt¢d per parcel. this equates to JppToximately.?,100 individuals, includin8
an estirnated 500 children.

The majority of referrals continue to be frorn households experiencing lonE-te.'m financial hardship and
repeat need. However. the Foodbank has alsts suppnrted individu315 3nd famil es fating short-term crisls.
including those affected by illness. redundancy. or gaps in ststutory support.
The Foodbank is supported by a committed team of volunteer5 from a wide Taige of background5. Their
eontribution remains e53entiJl to the effective delivery of seiviL¥>.
Citizens Advice continue5 to provide adwte service5 to Foodbank clients. surtrpc)rtine atCe5S tn hpnpfits,
debt advice. and wider financial intlu5ion. This role has been funded through Trus5ell Trust financial
Inclusion fundin& which is due to end. The trustees are arttvely exploring alter1ative funding options to
•n5UTg continuity of this servlce.
Income from donations remained stron8 durin8 the year. The charity reduced.hc financial 6ap between
income and expenditure, irnproving overall financial resilience. Trustees contirue to seek to diversifv
income streams and increase engagement with local businesse5 and individual donor5.
The Foodbank benefits from regular donations trom community groups. inclucing Gilwern Knit and
Natter. Church giving remains eonsi5tent and reltable, with 5UPPOrt from a range of denominations
including the Methodist Church. United Reformed Church. Cr055way Chufch, Gateway Church. Baptist
Church. the Rgman Catholic Church. the Church in Wales. Quakers, and the Salvatton Army. Support has
15o been recelved from local schools acr055 Monmouthshire and Powys. Indiv dual donor5 and local
businesses are too numerous to list but remain a vital part of the charl￿5 support base.
Portico Lounge restaurant continued to provide regularhJndr3i54ng income through Quiet Nights and
sponsored fundraising events.

alonRside the introduction of a monthlv new51etter. By ￿ar end. the new plarfim had attrarted 60
followers. Donation boxes located acr055 the town continued to provide additijnal income.
Progress has been made on setting up a separate charity to operate the Foodbank and it 15 expected that
this will take over In April of 2U26 once all due diligence is completed.

The Church endeavours to keep reserves suthcient to meeting 12 months runn'.ng costs and also
complete any repairs rgcommended in the quinquennial rcport.
The Foodbank endeavours to keep a minimum of 6m running costs plus a cont ngency for other potential
costs that may arise_
