foundatlon program designed for "Team Neuromodulatlon" is dellvered onllne and can also be vlewed
asynchronously on City university "Media Space" plaffomi, allowing exceptional nexibillty and access
worldwlde. EEPIN underpins standardized, unbiased educatlon under strlct university governance to
protect and promote the safe practlces in the 5peciolltv.
The candldate experiences Ilve onllne teaching Sessions, video lectures, interactive artivlties and case-
based discusslons from the International faculty whilst recelving personal support frorn a dedicated
'Learning Team" based at City University and Barts Neuromodulatlon Centre.

of our grant making programme are ultlmately the pain suffers and those at rlsk of developlng Intractable
neuropathlc paln in the future. Knowledge and educat5on In neuromodulatlon also have the potentlal to
relleve the huge burden of care often faced by the families of sufFerers. Our
research and educatlonal pro8rammès fund doctors, nurses and field clinical englneers who use these funds
in their work to enhance t￿atment care for Sufferers from intractable neuropathic paln and related

wlth Barts Neuromodulatlon Centre, St 8artholomew's Hospltal London and Medical Tralnin8 Initiative
Scheme, Faculty of Pain Medicine and Royal College of Anaesthesia. UK. Plans are to create a visltlng
fellowship specSfically for the developlng world that will allow the caftdldates to galn hands-on experience in
neuromodulation by joinin8 the affiliated centre5. Thi5 will provlde unsurpassed profe55ional development
opportunitie5 to the candidate enabling investment in a range of new initiatives that would enaljle personal
development and skill mix. The candidates will be provided a Visitin8 Fellowship Certificate, following
successful fellowship program.

the Financial Reportlng Standard applicable In the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS1021 and the
Charltles Act 2011.
The Splne Foundatlon constltutes a publlc beneflt entity as defined by FRS102. The financial
statements a￿ prepared under the hlstorlcal c05t conventlon. The financlal Statements ère
presented In pound5 sterling, which is also the functional currency of the trust. Rounding of
Jmounts shown In the flnanclal ststements Is to nearest pound.
1.2 GolnB concern
The Trustees conslderthat the￿ are no materlal uncertalntles aboutthe Trusvs ablllty to contlnue
as a going concern. Wlth respect to the next reporting period, the most slgnlflcant areas of
uncertainty that affect the carrying value of assets held by the Trust are the level of Investment
returns and the perfomance of Investment markèts.
1.3 Fund accourttlng
General fund5 are unrestrlcted funds whlch are avallable for use at the dlrection of the Trustee5
in furtherance of the general objectlves of ihe charity and whlch have not been designated for
ather purposes.

1.4 Incomlng resource5
All income 15 recognised once the charity has entitlement to the income, it is probable that the
income wlll be received, and the amount of Income receivable can be measured rellably.

1.6 Expenditure

benefit to a third party, il is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in
settlement and the amount of the obllgatlon can be measured rellably. Expendlture Is classffied
by activity. The costs of each actwity are made up of the total of direct Costs and shared costs.

Investment management costs relate to the cost IncUr￿d for the adminlstraiion of the Trusys
Investment portfollo. Governance costs are those incurred in connectlon wlth admlnlstratlon of
the charlty and compllance wlth constitutlonal and statutory requlrement5.
Grants payable are charged In the year when the offer Is made except In those cases where the
offer Is condTtlonal, such 8rants belng reco8nlsed as expendlture when the conditions attachin8
are fulfilled. Grants offered subJect to condltlons which have not been met at the perlod end are
noted as a commltment but I￿1 accrued as expendlture.
1.7 Interest receivable
Interest on funds held on deposlt is Included when receivable and the amount can be measured
reliably by the charity. This Is normally upon notification of the Inte￿$1 pakl or payable by the
bank.
1.8 Debtors
Other debtors a￿ recognlsed at the settlement amount. Prepayments are valued at the amount
prepaid net of ar)y trade dlscounts due.
1.9 Cash at bank and in hand
Cash at bank and in hand Include5 cash ond short terni hi8hly liquid investments with a short
maturity of three months or less from the date of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar
account.
